I could never have a collection like this, because I'd open everything in a heartbeat.
I mean there's no real point in opening it all. He has multiples of every single card any of those boxes offer. When you have 30 of something then having 31 of that same thing doesn't hit the same. Him pulling one of the rarest cards to 90% of people is like pulling a regular holo rare. Plus most of that stuff is worth SO much more money sealed than it ever could be opened. At least half of all that won't have a single hit at all. The gamble is buying it for what COULD be inside, but very rarely is...

Its funny because there was an interview with another TH-camr interviewing Ryan and he said Rev’s collection was way bigger than his so just imagine that. Rev does not show his stuff nor has he ever flexed.

Ryan has to be one of the luckiest people in the pokemon game... RACKING up money living at home, banking all he makes into his pockets and build this collection that is INSANE sitting on over a million easyyyy worth of products. Insanity. Recently a tornado came through his area and very close to his house but all is okay and no damage to theirs, blessed to the max. S/O to this duo Ryan and Rev are hilarious!

Sorry but I collect them for the money, not to play with them. They go into cases, get graded and when the market is right you flip them! Bought a shit ton of Bitcoin and once i decide to sell a coin or two i will be buying some next level pokemon cards I couldn't normally afford. To each his own, but this is exactly what I did with GPUs as well. Bought them all out for my mining rigs and then sold them all a few years later when the market was on fire again. Made all my money back and was able to mine Ethereum for 2 full years for free essentially. Its a hustle man.
And that my friends is how he never got a girl. Attitude and Cards.

Collecting like this will not happen until Pokemon almost dies again. The value of modern cards will not be like these. 1,000 x more people collecting Pokémon tcg now. Everyone is holding on the sealed modern product, thinking it’s value will shoot up at some point I. 15-20 years. I guess I’ll see when that time comes… if I live that long. I’m starting to believe that Ryan is King Pokémon

That collection is so strange and insane, but I love it as I bet there are just so many interesting things in there, while I am a bit jealous as I wish I could just look around there myself, but I at least have a small collection of unopened Pokémon packs as I am trying to get at least one of every set, and it is my dream to get at least one of the real vintage packs, but this is still awesome to watch you go through this.
I cant keep sealed product the cards are meant to be opened so that's what I do. My dad collects sealed though

I was like 9 years old in my parents living room on Christmas morning playing Hey You Pikachu on my see-thru green Limited edition Donkey Kong N64 while listening to Brittany Spears' album on the boom box I just got for Christmas.
My older brothers rightfully made fun of me but fuck me if I cared. I was in heaven.

2016 is when most of the early adopters started collecting. It's when AlphaInvestments first came to TH-cam and his success story went viral.
A collection on that level just goes too far for me, that's not cool or impressive anymore, that's on a "you need help" or "hoarder" level. Having so much sealed stuff packed away somewhere in this basement... For what exactly? An amount of graded cards that you could never showcase in a way that makes sense. He's basically a warehouse of products at that point and I don't see the fun of having that amount of stuff anymore.

Honestly to just hoard instead of sell or open kind of kills the fun of even trying to collect. In time the market will collapse especially when only a few group of people own most the market. Most the time the deals they do come out way less then it would for anyone else.
