@@KRHEE I’m applying to usc 2021 and in the process of writing the supplemental essays. I currently have a 4.0, however, after watching your other vids, does your GPA as a transfer student really matter more than your essays?
I love your account so much!! Thank you for uploading these videos I can tell you put so much thought into the advice you give, I’m about to start CC this month and my goal is to do amazing and push myself to get into the school of my dreams!
Wow! I'm Mother of a senior in high school, I like to see this can of videos to inform my self, I'm not from this country, the thing is you are a very smart guy, because you always say the truth, in a way to be very easy to understand. Thanks
Good video! I do want to make the note that top top schools (Yale, Harvard, Ivies) do require SAT’s even for transfers (to the point where some transfers took the SAT as a college student in the past just to apply)
It's funny because in high school my GPA was 2.1. In community college I finished in 4 semesters with a GPA of 2.5. Somehow I got accepted into UCSB as a Classics major in 2003. They said it wasn't guaranteed I get student housing at UCSB, but every time I showed up in person I got an a student apartment at Santa Ynez apartments on El Colegio Road. I was a party type person, so I guess things worked out for me. I did serve in the US Army right after high school and I did get the MGI Bill which help pay for community college and some of UCSB.
So true on everything your saying. I am also from San Francisco and it is competitive for sure. I'm a transfer headed to UCLA in the fall--was accepted to USC but wanted to save money.
Currently have a 4.0 in community college and sent colleges I'm looking to transfer to my high school transcript bcs They requested it Hoping my 2.5 gpa in high school doesn't mess things up for acceptance and scholarships
Hey man, I’m going into my sophomore year at a cc in PA with hopes of maybe transferring to USC. I currently have a 3.9 GPA and work part time for doordash and Instacart. I wanted to know, how do you think in-state vs. out-of-state admissions are for transfers?
I'm going back to school after 10 yrs starting with community college lol. Thanks for the tip about the SAT/High School GPA thing! I was worried about transferring to better ranked schools. I also didn't take the SAT back then haha -
When I was talking to my professor about when I should expect to graduate with my nursing associates degree he told me around 2 years, my question is do college admissions look down on students that take 3 years to finish their pre-reqs?
@@ProfessionalWeakGuyy That is what have been going thru my mind lately as well, im also in deans list with 3.8 gpa, but im afraid ill be staying for 2.5 or even 3 years in community college due to it being I did no do well in high school and so I have to take a bunch of pre req to make up for it :/
I think the idea of "transferring well" is largely rooted in the landing strip, not the airport. In other words, if you have 45+ credits or a completed associate degree, even transferring to Georgetown, Rice, or UCLA with 15% of your total credits *ISN'T* transferring well. However, in this scenario, going to Western New Mexico University is transferring well if they take 100% of what you already earned.
You can get into a good school with a 3.6 or 3.7 gpa especially as a transfer. I don’t think that question was too ridiculous. If he was asking if a c was okay then your response would be cool but....
My man, I'm a freshman taking a gap year from my 4 year college because of covid. I want to take some online classes at a community college during my gap year. Does this mean I have to reverse transfer from my 4 year college (NJIT) to CC and then transfer back because I want my degree from NJIT?
Hey what if I transfer the university while in undergraduate than will I get scholarship for next year in new university on the basis of my last university’s GPA

Good advice about the GPA. If you do all your work and don't miss any assignments it's doable.

Did high school stats effect your acceptance?
@@ameensnipezdid it?
@@ameensnipezif u have 60 units in cc and are applying to uc it shouldn’t matter
Thanks for the info!

Subbed this man speaking facts
Great solid points and advice on researching
I believe if you have under 30 college credits in your application it’s mandatory to add hs gpa and SAT scores.
if u have under 30 units its gonna be hard to make it into a top 25

Don't transfer to a better-ranked school. Transfer to a college where it's the best fit for you.

nah for transfers finishing most/all ur GEs+prereqs is more important than how long u stay at cc

How should I find out which CC is the right one if I want to transfer to UCSD? a mom asking
I've got like 170 Credits I need to transfer. How many of those credits will be transferrable? Just curious. Prob a question for a counselor. .
