Thank you man. I’m starting community college for the first time this Fall. I’m nervous but excited. And I my “dream” college plan would be Wayne State University in Michigan! Thanks for these tips bro.

Wealthy parents were spending tens of thousands on Mentors, Consultants, and private tutors from those colleges ... At the end of the day it turned into a shallow Beauty Pageant of who gets into what school for the mainly Asian students ... My Uncle hates his major and preferred that he just attended a simple Calstate in different major....My Dad thumbs his nose at his major , a complete waste of money...They gave me the best plan as soooo...... I didn't take the SAT/ACT or even apply after my 11th... I enjoyed my time taking it easy at my high school...I still managed to get high grades for the sake of learning ....Most my Korean and Chinese (LOL) classmates got accepted to numerous Ivy... BUT rejected to the school I ended up attending , which I will get to.... Soon after graduating I continued to be involved in my passion projects FOR ME... I attended my local City College for FREE and needed up transferring to UCLA(All my classmates except 1 got accepted to) to attend for FREE , I live in Los Angeles btw AND my Dad didn't claim me on his TAXES ....I got to travel and work and gained more life experience as well as coming of age... From my 17year old self I absolutely was clueless about life compared to being 21...I can tell you that I had the best time of my life right after high school in the real working world, and not being tossed into a class where an old Phd Professor shoves their say down your throat ... I have a greater appreciation for Academia as matter of fact ... Hell my professors comes from top IVY so I don't know what the fuss is all about to attend them... At end of day Im debt free and doing exactly what I figured what I wanted to do in my 20s...By time in my 30s Im sure it will continue to evolve .. Anyways TY and much success to all!
If I had a lower GPA in high school, around 2.7, but the first two years of community college I got a 3.8 or higher, what is my chance of transferring to an Ivy League school: Princeton, Yale, Harvard… or even a good school that is not Ivy League, like Notre Dame? My dream school is Yale.
You have a pretty good chance, but if you can hit a 4.0 while having diverse community service activities or club activites/leadership roles, you have an even higher chance
Hi there , I’m from Brazil and heading to Seattle for begin my community college journey . I’m also very anxious and excited but a bit nervous. I hope I can make my gpa growth for a future transfer to an university
even if colleges require high school transcript for transfer they don't actually look at those grades and they only look your community college gpa right?
First thing first thank for the video, and for me, I want really rough path, I don't want give up of my boyfriend he is really important for me, anyway and then I probably gonna work my ass a lot after go to us to go to a community college and after go to my dream college, is such mess I kinda had apply to regular application, but something happen I can't afford the english test, and I probably don't gonna have money until the deadline, also because I am really poor I don't know if they gonna accept me f1 visa most of people have money to prove they can stay far way from they campus.
what’s sup man I have a question? i’m 21 currently doing community college first year doing classes fully online with the goal to hit a 4.0 I work full time so most of my extracurriculars are business related pretty much what i’m studying so will schools look at that as a downside because they are not school clubs?Like for example I work for my parents cleaning company and recently I started a mobile detailing company. Also my target school that I wanna get into is Princeton I just wanna make sure i’m extending myself as much as possible in terms of grades and essays and extracurriculars some feedback from you will be great
I have a question, if you do nursing in a community college and you want to transfer to a university to study engineering, will you start as a freshman or junior?cuz i may not have some of the requirements for engineering
I dont know if i have the potential to get into Yale or Cornell. I had a 2.8 Gpa in high school and i regret slacking off freshman year so much, because of that it literally screwed up my whole high school experience and idk if im eligible now since they want 4.0 gpa’s
Hey man, so if you REALLY wanna get in even though you messed up in high school. Then you should reset everything and start fresh with community college. That is exactly what I did and it all worked out. I'll make a video about this! Have faith my friend (:
I loved this video I graduated hs with a 2.7 GPA not really being too serious about school. Now that I'm older and more aware of things Im going to college I attend a community school and I want to transfer to UGA what are some tips you would advise.
you can always call up the registrar office and they'll tell you. But also on each university website has a credit transfer catalog that you can look through and match up your CC credits with the uni credits
@@CharleeNguyen oh cool man and 1 more question if u don’t mind, was there any gen Ed courses you didn’t take at cc that had to wait for uni. For any reason?

From all the nursing friends i've made, they said that going to CC didnt change anything! Just don't slack off and keep ur grades way up high! Volunteer work and having a bunch of hours and experience in the field before apps will save you! They would rather take more actual exp than grades, but if u do both, then even better!
HEY, i've got 3.6+ GPA in 10th grade but in 11th grade, my GPA dropped to 3/4. I'm planning to join a cc and transfer to a better college later, what do you suggest?

you should apply for 2nd year. In those two years, try to join groups online or clubs. Maybe do something with computer science online in some kind of event. Showing the universities that you're more than just a student that can get good grades is the most important.

Yes! Any extra activities are great!
Pls can someone advise a good cc? I just can't choose and don't know the details. Business major))
depends where you're at honestly! But for CC, it doesn't really matter as much... I recommend to pick what's close to you
like if I choose cc do I need to spent 2 yrs studying or only 1 yr in cc. Because I’ve 3.2 gpa so do I think it’s better to go cc ?
i would say reset at CC, get your grades up and academic resume up and then apply for the uni/college you want
Do i need SAT score to get myself in University after passing from a community college
nope!
If I transfer to university I have to study 4 years for bachelor?? so the total is 6 years ?? Tooo much and im 24 already
So, if you transfer from 2 years at community college, it's just another two years. If you go from high school straight to university, it's 4 years
