Really cool to see Cheerleader by Porter at #14. While Russian Roulette by him made me shed a tear, cheerleader is just a tighter track. Charli & Kendrick in the top 3 was expected, I would of gone Euphoria for Kendrick personally. Can't wait to go back and listen to some of these others on the list, like Laura Marling, Adrienne, Kamasi Washington, Aliyah's Interlude, Knocked Loose, etc.
I wonder if “Like Him” or “either on or off the drugs” would make it into the list if they were released as singles. Two of the best tracks this year, hands down
meet the grahams is genuinely one of the best and most chilling diss tracks of all time, an easy 10/10 song. It absolutely deserves its number 1 spot here
It's a song that does so much and is so fucked up that I still think about it at random. Like I prefer Euphoria and Not Like Us as just listens, but I totally can get behind MTG as the best of the diss tracks because fuck, that song is haunting
MTG is a lot like Requiem For a Dream. It’s amazingly well made, super disturbing, and an incredible piece of work that I don’t really need to experience again because it already stuck with me, nor do I really want to casually throw it on.
Meet the grahams is a song made by an escaped Gotham prisoner that happens to be able to rap. My jaw dropped when I first heard it. Insane track, deserved #1
Pretty amazing list! Here’s some of my picks that didn’t make the cut :] Nourished by Time - Hell of a Ride Jawnino - It’s Cold Out (Extended Mix) Mount Eerie - I Walk (pretty shocked this didn’t make the video honestly) Ka - Such Devotion Cameron Winter - $0

1. Girl, so confusing 2. The Last Year 3. Good Luck, Babe! 4. Cry For Me 5. Favourite 6. Sadness As A Gift 7. Check 8. Reaching Out 9. My Golden Years 10. I Walk why the Mount Eerie exclusion, Fantano?
I haven't listened to a lot of these songs, but yeah, Holy Holy deserved to be in the top 5. Love the Mag Bay song, as well. That Imaginal Disk record was my personal 10/10 this year instead of Brat. Brat has a lot of great tracks, but simultaneously I don't find it as cohesive a listening experience as the Mag Bay record is.
I am sooo glad you included Joey Valence and Drae, that album has been on repeat in my car since it came out. It's just such a retro joy, really takes me back to my childhood ❤

He did previously get single of the year for The Blacker The Berry in 2015.

Probably the best since I’ve been actively listening to music. This is the first year I’ve been excited for multiple releases.
