- The Black and White series was originally hyped by the always passionate Peter Molyneux. Back in 2001, the first Black and White was being hyped up to be the greatest game of all time. Since then, a sequel was released in 2005 called Black and White 2, which was even more forgotten. Was this a worthy sequel to step the genre forward, or did the series once again fall short of expectations?

Black & White 2 was one of the most defining games of my childhood. Such a shame that it is being buried and not given a digital release.
I agree. It really should get a digital rerelease to clean up the compatibility issues out of the box. Maybe even an additional creature or two, but that may be too optimistic.
This and game 1 are criminally underrated, played this as a young teen and as a 33 year old adult I’d still play this if I had a pc.

The team that made universim have the skills, the engine and the humor to do a Black and White 3. They would be the perfect studio for it.

Fucking loved this game…
I replayed this game year or two ago. I really like it and remember having mouse sensitivity issue that was very annoying. I think I fixed it in the end, but I don't even remember how.
Game is great, but it gets repetetive each time you start building from start again on new maps. I found myself really building up my first few starting settlements, but not being as invested in the later one and I actually over the years never completly finished the game. But I think I have probably +100h in the game over the years since release for sure.
I think the sensitivity issue has to do with the framerate. I had a similar issue with my XP machine and just increased the in-game sensitivity. It seemed to have fixed the issue for me, but there's probably a better solution.

I wish that they would be able to remaster this game or do a complete remake and fix all the issues that were in this game and honestly I would just combined both one two and Battle of the gods at this point because this game is so good and they could have the opportunity to bring in much more content new maps and even the availability of playing different nations instead and be able to go on different stories with different nations but unfortunately this game has been lost a time however maybe it's possible that there will be a remake of this game who knows I definitely know one thing though there is a huge fan base for this game and it would be good to see this game back again but with a complete remake or remastered however unfortunately like rise of Nations rise of Legends this game is unfortunately going to be buried and it will be a miracle if this game and the other two even get a remaster or remake so unfortunately I love this game but unfortunately I don't think we'll ever see a remake or a remaster of it but who knows who really knows these days
