Master craftsman at work. The combinations as are superb. Go low, high then middle. Opponent has no idea where next attack us coming from . Hip rotation on kicks is superb. Teep grab and take down us awesome. Have watched it 20+ times and every time is textbook.
I love how he hits without fully rotating! Power mixed with technique is really dangerous!

Was lucky enough to meet Saenchai on Saturday passed. Man is a living legend.
My teacher would argue otherwise. He was trained in Muay Boran and his record is 125 fights 10 losses, no draws in an era where there were Muay Thai fights lasting 12 rounds. He said Buakaw has grossed over 500 fights total since childhood. And he has proven himself in Lumpinee and Omnoi stadium more than once. Saenchai is amazing and will confirm Buakaw's talent.

I admire and respect all top Thai fighters.
Buakaw has never been a Lumpini or Rajadamnern champ so he might be rated as a second-class MT fighter. BUT he can punch, kick, elbow, knee, block and clinch so well in various fights under both K1 and full MT rules. He exemplifies formidable MUAY THAI in the international arena. He is not the only one yet the most successful and acclaimed one.
That is why I think he is a great or even the greatest ever MT figher.

Conor does know what he is talking about, Buakaw has been successful in K-1 Max but hasn't achieved the same accomplishments in Thailand. compare him to to senchai or even kongsak and you can see a difference in skill.

Um, actually Buakaw has been training since 8 years old. He had to prove himself in Lumpinee/Omnoi stadium and he won the title. Jomhod Kiatadisak has 14 world muay thai titles and Buakaw beat him in two rounds sustaining zero damage. Buakaw dominates K-1 and Thai Fights. Doesn't matter the rules. You think Buakaw just had a sponsor that took him from Thailand because he cant fight and moved him to K-1? He already proved himself. Go check his PROFESSIONAL record!

aldo is a baby in the muay thai world. wouldnt stand a chance vs saenchai. Aldo originally played soccer and did jiu jitsu. striking for him is a new thing. Also all that shit they talk about in the UFC about world class striking, is bullshit. Its all C Level - B Level Striking.. Aldo is indeed an exception with B+ striking abilities, but vs S class world champion's like saenchai? if you think itll be a good fight for Aldo. then you probably don't train. Good fight? maybe. One sided? for sure.
