ste no doubt eh. One of the goals was push the limits and see how much gear I could carry, test the gear and bikes stability at max load for the long haul trips. Worked out reallt well albeit for the small trips yoy could loose a bag or two.
really nice gear and camping set up. I bought my first bike last year in November and building it up to a camping/touring DR650. always on the hunt for good camping stuff.
I used to deliver the Province news paper to that house when I was 9, Baycrest. It paid for my first dirt bike, a KX80 which was to small with in a year then bumped it up to a KDX250. I don't figure you went to Seycove, I'm around the same age, now I'm looking at these Enduristan side panniers for my ktm 1090. I was thinking about getting some weight forward on the front crash bars because sometimes my 90lb giant schnauzer is sitting in his custom aluminum top case, he's a badass.
This is a great video and very informative, thanks. Unfortunately you seem to have attracted more than the usual crowd of armchair critics. A couple of likeminded TH-camrs you may be interested in viewing are John T. Young and Keith Jobson. Cheers from Australia.
Problem with the front fender bag is that the strap goes over the top of the cargo compartment, it should go on the bottom of or through the bottom side of the cargo bag so you don't have to take it off the fender to use it.
Well, I guess I don't have to worry about my Husky501 subframe if your carrying that amount of stuff. Granted, I"m only up for a 1-2 night camping trip...nice job!
Way too much stuff. I did the same my first week out. Try to pack half, then half it again. In the end you will wind up with about 60% the mass and 200% more fun. Weight equals issues
Couldn't agree more, it was a bit of a test. I was surprised how much I could carry but it takes forever to pack and unpack and so not needed. Great gear thou, its holding up great.

Tobias Wikström . In order to answer this question you'll need to share much more info. Where do you ride how often do you ride how long are you rides how many miles are you thinking of doing each day what kinda ride of you doing logging roads some technical Moab, Baja are you intermediate Rider or an expert Pro Rider is it mostly Road riding are there sections that are going to be extremely technical like single track with obstacles or is having a cushy seat and Hauling gear and being comfortable with low maintenance the important thing as you can see there are a ton of variables you have to give me a better picture of what you're trying to accomplish

Thanks for making up my mind on which bike to buy!! I was gonna buy a bigger adventure bike even though I love the smaller enduro... I was worried I couldn't pack enough gear or any at all on a 450 exc-w or the 500 but not now!! Thanks!!

I have a Honda crf 250 rally and I am thorne between Blizzard Medium or Large? Any suggestion would be helpful. I live in the mountains and don't ride a lot of single track
I would gi with the large. Better to have extra space. The medium fills up faster than you expect. I'd rather have an under filled Blizzard that stress about not being able to get it perfectly closed on the top of bag so water doesnt get in than have an overfilled bag and struggling.
Honestly you dont need half that.. i use a good backpack and thats it. Inside are clothes for changing, a lil gas stove, some food, a med pack, 2 big water bottles, a tiny pot, some pot 😉, and a tent cover i use as my roof between the bike and the ground.
I’m looking at buying a 501 and am going to be doing a lot of single track riding but also fat bit of road riding to get to trail witch would you recommend the fe501and make it street legal just get fe501s
The 501 is a legend for power but depending on what kind of ST your talking about and your skill level and most importantly your conditioning the 501 will ad an element to riding that is both intoxicating and tasking. The 501 eats up dual track and logging roads and open flats, sand dunes and fast paced terrain effortlessly.
"That should last you for 3 or 4.... Days!" I was expecting him to say months 😂 Honestly though, I just take one 40L bag and a small backpack for a 1 or 2 week trip and still end up not using half the stuff I bring.
Absolutely it is. Stock tank gets approx 85 miles per tank. I think that's what you're asking in terms of litresnor gallons, sorry I don't know off the top of my head.
Nice setup sir, curious is that the medium saddle bags? I have a ktm 500 exc and was thinking of getting it. Was gonna get the giant loop coyote rear bag at first but I don't like the bent weenie look ha!
Thanks Stallion and Yes, if you go to 5:20 in the timeline I breakdown all the sizes if you want to see the rest of the sizes etc. I totally hear you on the bent weenie look. Like I said in the video that looked reminded me of the wild west where someone had been thrown over the back of a horse. But that's justs just me LOL.
have you tried to mount the Base Pack SX 6.5 to the bottom attachment points on the Blizzard Saddle Bags where you have the bottle holders? I have the Blizzard in large and was wondering if the base pack 6.5 would fit. the fender bag fits well but i wanted something bigger.
Hay Mate how long were you going for ? Great gear I have the Enduristan Medium Blizzard as well which I use on my SWM 650 Superdual, I'm from Australia and have been motorcycle camping for around 10 years now looks like you may be carrying to much stuff ? Good gear but feel sorry for the little FE 501.
Hi Paul, I wanted to see what the maximum configuration was and how it would handle it. The top bag was totally not necessary but still was fun to try things out. More of a practice dry run for longer trips to come. Don't feel sorry for Husky she's a torque beast and most of my kit was light weight. P.S SWM 650 is a really nice bike btw. Thanks for watching.
Well life is about compromises so naturally the FE501 has them but for me the bike gets me to the places I want to most be. I do intend on changing the seat to be more comfortable for longer rides on the road. I also upgrade the headlight which I did a review on and overall the bike is a true pleasure on rides. I would recommend to balance the tire and rims to smooth out the ride. Many more upgrades and modz coming your way so don't forget to click the bell icon if your looking for more info. Cheers
Guys, I'm kinda skeptical on the fender bag... I keep thinking that it's going to get in the way of the headlight and steal some precious light while riding at night. Anyone has any opinion on them?
MM cheers amigo perfect for adventures. I even tested off road in some serious trails in BC with the panniers and luggage and the luggage showed no signs of wear. Just hose them off with water and wipe down and your gpod to go.
I've ridden single track with the side panniers on and the rear seat bag with the fender bags and they were totally fine. I would recommend putting a towel between the side plastics and side panniers so you don't scratch the crap out of your side panels. With all the friction, dirt, dust it really starts to show the wear if you are in the bumps off road.

I bought my first motorcycle this year; a '17 Suzuki DRZ400sm. I removed the street tires and put knobbies on. I'm hooked on moto camping now! Slowly building it up for long distance adventures (Alaska next year hopefully). Have been looking at panniers and I think you've just sold me on those Enduristan Blizzards! This is the first video I watched on your channel; can't wait to see more! I'm in Squamish and always up for a ride.
Zup Nick, awesome to hear from you all the way from the UK. The Blizzards are bomb proof durable and stylish. Easy to mount and when mounting on my bike anyways they look right at home. What I mean is they don't look like an after thought. They sort of just blend in and feel at home. Btw that's kind of what I wanted in adventure bag. I want it to be usuable for hauling but I also wanted it to not make my bike look like a mule. I've taken them on some serious rides, threw dirt, single track, creeks, hill climbs bouncing all over the place and crashed hard. Even after all the abuse they continue to look nice. Hose them off in and out and wipe them down and your good to go. I the only things with bags is there never big enough or small enough. Same with tank bags. LOL So depending on how long your trips are you many want to consider the large. P.S I just finished reviewing an Olympia Jacket if your looking for a great 4 season adventure jacket for 2018. P.S Oh and no I'm not sponsored by Olympia. Enjoy and thanks for watching all the way from UK!
After the apocalypse, when I see a guy riding with Enduristan luggage I will instantly send my dogs of war after him because I know he will have a whole bunch of carefully packed goodies.
Holy shit a load of bagage on one bike .. i am impressed my freind .. how are able to drive .. jokes aside ... you rock !! all you need to a luxery camp ..
Palle Olsen surprisingly the bike felt really grounded, i rode threw some heavy winds and was amazed how balanced the load and bike felt. The torque on the 501 is unbelievable, she's a beast so this really helped pull threw cornering.
Hoagie Sherlin did you noticed I was camped right on the beach. The water on the west coast of Canada is colder than a polarbears toe nail and the tide came in close so it was pretty sweet.
This seems excessive but for all the guys to cheap or lazy to explore these solutions it’s exactly why they surrender there man card and end up with quads and $20,000 SxS’s that cost $500/day in repairs on the same 3-4 trails for the rest of there lives doing more drinking then riding lol. It doesn’t have to be this way but 90% of guys that leave the 2 wheeled toys stop adventuring or exploring, and start doubling and tripling the amount of $$ they spend on the machine instead.
I agree Kermit, on this trip what I was testing was the bikes luggage limits. I wanted to see how much I could carry and I definitely went a bit far. I agree that you don't need excessive gear to go on adventure trips. People spend all sorts of money on all sorts of things in life i.e 50k on already perfectly fine functioning kitchens or 5k on TV´s personally that's not my thing. But to each their own.I enjoy investing in adventure gear and creating memories outdoors. For me I´ll never stop wanting to explore its something I just can't turn off. I plan to start bringing my family on some adventures and also continue to ride more so I've started a new adventure series that begins with me transforming my truck with Overlanding in mind and bringing my FE501 along as well. Cheers and thanks for watching Kermit. WADZ

Snow Peak congradz on the new bike. Thanks for subbing and sounds like you've got some awesome adventures ahead of you. Cheers!
I'm riding a DRZ400e in the UK and am also looking at the Blizzards.. what's your experience of them so far? I'm looking at the mediums
There’s an “i” somewhere in Enduristan
After the apocalypse, when I see a guy riding with Enduristan luggage I will instantly send my dogs of war after him because I know he will have a whole bunch of carefully packed goodies.
Song used: Enduro- Sandstorm
With all that stuff, you better be out for months... 😂
Best video yet!
Awesome!! Mean ass bike
Dawoofpack hey thx man. What kind of bike you riding and where abouts. We are on the road as we speak headed up to 100 mile BC to ride

Bob Ross?
Love your enthusiasm. Lol. But dude. Way to much bear bro..😉😆😀
Jorge Gonzalez totally agree that was the goal. Testing too much
My God,,,, Time to get a real Adventure Bike, :)
Bike doesnt have bags. Bags have a bike! :)
swm superdual man
Hot beer is nasty bro
Hoagie Sherlin did you noticed I was camped right on the beach. The water on the west coast of Canada is colder than a polarbears toe nail and the tide came in close so it was pretty sweet.
Its more like what can be put on the bike max. Not really applicable for real adventure riding.
WADZ
youu are a very rich guy
Rich with laughter and wonderful memories.
hello you take far too much business, I went on a raid in Morocco on 4000 km mountain, desert, sand mud and I have the bags ENDURISTAN BLIZZARD SIZE L and saddle bags of 6.5 L for my tools. a backpack for water. you have a light bike and you lose all that good.
why not just take a camper and leave the bike at home, you people are more thrilled withy your equipment then the ride.
"affordably priced" Best I can figure thats $750USD+ of gear in bag alone... Seems like you buy gear for the sake of buying gear.
