Big respect to Bara in the first game here. Knowing you were caught out by Nascar you held your ground and gave as much as you could to the enemy team instead of trying to run away and just being torn apart without dealing any damage back. This is the way to do things if you ever find yourself in the same position. Yes you will die and yes it will be quick but whatever damage you can put on the enemy is better then just running and dying anyway. Nascar has become much worse of late then ever before. A team mate of mine once told me how he got over Nascar. He started to play comp and his drop caller said, "Why did you run away?" He replied "Because I was being shot." The team leader said "Yes but you have guns too and in this case yours were bigger then theirs. But you didn't realise it because you ran and made it easy for them to kill you." Holding a line is hard to do when you are primary and getting shredded but you have to learn to take it because it won't always be the case and when you have team mates around you and you have learned to hold a line you will win more often then lose. Bara has a lot of videos in which you will see him call for people to turn around or push. The vast majority of these games are wins. He has posted a few losses and I like it because it shows what can happen when you don't listen to calls. Everyone has the right to play the game the way they want and there are bad drop callers out there but just try to remember it is a team game and you have a much better chance of winning if you stick together and call targets and listen to calls. If you're new it will take time and be confusing. Just try because the more you try the easier it will become ;D When I started my team nearly had to verbally beat me to death to press R :D
Kudos for the Raven in the end. Not escaping or shutting down or any of that bs, fighting still and getting a kill for their trouble against superior firepower.
No kudos, that Paradox Z guy is always last alive and always does that shit in the end. Thankfully Bara and guys got him pretty fast here, in my games he manages to waste at least 5 minutes running away from the fight.
@@HatsMcHats No problem with sticking to your personal tactic. Agree to the fact that he is a last minute cleaner, but he does not hide during the main fight. And if he saves the win (seen a few times).... who cares 🤗
It's funny that IRL missiles wouldn't really be all that hot to fire relative to a Gauss gun, yet missiles are so hot in this game while Gauss guns are not. Also Gauss guns would have little penetrative falloff even after a few kilometers but in this game they get substantially less effective after like 1.
Timber Wolf = MadCat, clans call it TimberWolf, inner sphere called it MadCat, as the IS targeting computer tried to recognize it, but it couldn't decide whether it is a Marauder or a Catapult, so it switched between MAD and CAT id names...
it was good to see you in game. in the first game, i think it was the early-midgame uav that changed the outcome. i think we actually had the better position but now that i see the game from your perspective it makes sense why our team took so much early damage.
The idea to use the laser duration to charge the gauss sounds nice, but from my experience shooting the lasers first means the enemy starts moving, which makes it harder to hit the gauss. I changed to shooting the gauss first and then trace the enemy with the lasers. I think that might be easier if you don't have the aiming with the gauss 100% figured out.
2nd game was so interesting ti watch, they had you in a choke point and even attacked from multiple angles. People need to understand that tactics other than nascar seems to fail but that is because the players dont know what they are doing because they default to something stupid like nascar too much
@@DIEGhostfish light mechs. Its comes from the expression describing your dogs running after squirrels. They see a mech and dont think but just chase it. The lights are there to bait, we must resist them as much as possible unless your mech design can quickly shut them down.
That second game was nice! I vote Z Paradox as MVP for being a scrappy fighter! Even got just one more kill at the last minute! Way to sell your life dearly!
Lol that first game is literally my experience in my Madcat ii 9 times out of 10. It's what really turns me off from assaults to be honest, far too often and unceremoniously abandoned to the nascar. Never feel vulnerable in any other mech-class. To me speed is everything (which is sad as assaults are so cool)
nice to see your team has your back in first match, love how they leave you out in open hide behind a hill not bother to support you classic random players move leave team mates out in open get killed
What's better, Atlas or Kodiak? I honestly think it depends on what kind of weapons you like. If you like ballistic, then the kodiak 3 is for you, but if you like a mix, then the atlas is for you.
At least the red Nascar was held back long enough for the blues to get back to the hill. If the reds had pushed over the top while your teammates were chasing the guy in g8, it prolly would have been bad. As it was, the reds ended up exposed at the bottom.
Hi I'm the osiris from the first game (MyLegsAreOkay), I just wanted to get a better position for a few kills, and the whole team followed me I guess. ;;
Light mech, no. Lightest you could get away with would be a Cicada, but you have to sacrifice way too much to achieve it. Can't run XL because you don't have enough slots for the Gauss in the torso, so you have to run standard, but to get the weight necessary you skimp on armor and engine size. You take a Cicada 3M, drop it to a Standard 230 and you can get stealth armor with a gauss and 2 tons of ammo, but no backup weapons. It's just not worth it.
you can do one with an XL 300, 3.5 tons of armor, 2 small lasers and a light Gauss, but that isn't much fire power, and you do take a hit in speed, but its better than a 230 rated engine, you get more armor, and some back up weapons. overall i wouldn't recommend it though, that said it not my preferred play style so it might work for you. Probably be better to go with the enforcer ghillie and upping the engine as much as possible by removing jump jets and skimping on secondaries.
@@emeryhenry1849 Yeah, honestly if you want a light mech sniper, you *can* put a Heavy PPC on a Raven 3L with stealth and still have some speed and backup weapons. Just have to watch your heat. Probably better to just use an ERPPC though.
You can change the Boomstick Hero Raven to Gauss. If you are happy with a 35 ton mech running below 100kph. And of course.... Urbies can handle Gauss... they also dont need armor 😜😅 But both no ECM...
@@qawamity I remember that being the only zoom available in Mechwarrior 4. It was really difficult to use effectively. That coupled with the very user unfriendly LRM locking made me abandon missiles entirely.
@baradul. you know how the battletech universe has all the lore, politics, factions etc, and the stand alone campaign games have the map of the inner sphere, with all its options ... does mwo have this expanded setting, or is it nothing but the small meaningless arena fights? i want bigger context, planets perhaps changing hands, people working together as factions playing on a grand strategic scale, dropships, fighters, combined arms, that make the first person battles have meaning, purpose. maybe you can ask the world if people would like this?

Yeah, even though Baradul's team eventually won, it felt like they were losing. That pincer was done well.

Why not use 2 HLL instead? I've been using it before T1. Good old days of cooking mech.
Not enough crit slots. HLLs are kinda bulky.
Is there a light mech with stealth armor and ecm that can carry a gauss and maybe a few small lasers? I'd love to see a daily dose with thar!

Did you change your computer location? Camera's different, looks good!
