Glad youre feeling better! Its no fun when youre sick! What? I LOVE the hay smell! Its one of the best smells in my opinion! No sophie please leave their manes alone! Its natural for them to have long manes. Horses burn more calories in the winter bc they are trying to stay warm. Yes ive never understood why we blanketed some of the horses at the barns i worked at that had a good hair coat. The ones that were clipped, i understood. No we didnt do that bc we had heated water buckets at two of the barns i worked at. The other three we used a rubber mallet to chip the ice.
A blacket is only for sick or older horses they don't lose extra energy to keep them warm. A horse in the wild don't have a blacket 😂. They don't need it when they have enough hay to keep them warm. I clip some of my horses so they need a blacket , but that is because they are way to hot with wintercoat to ride. So they need a clip to keep them comfortable with riding. But holland is not that cold as Canada 😁 Sometimes they can be cold , mostly in spring or autumn when the coats are not that tick , and it rains a whole day . When they are cold then put a blacket on for a day or a few hours and they are happy to. They don' t need it , the coats are made for it. I never see your horses are cold on the video , so don't worry
@Alaska2446 why do you think a healty horses needs a blacket? All my horses , from perfect breed dressage horse (sister from the olympic champion) till shetland don't need a blacket , and if they need it put one on for a day then. It is easy to see if they cold or not. And want i say before , some of mine horses have a blacket on because they are clipped
Aww Bless yur heart Laura, i am so glad yur feeling better! I love horses with long mains for sure! Penny looked much nicer after you brushed her Laura! You folks have a bless day! 🙏🤗💖
Morning all from the UK , you and Sam did a great job cleaning up the barn on Thursday . Native breads you don't trim there manes or tales , YOU may trime them a tinny bit to keep them out of the mud . I worked a yard and there where six horses .thay all about 2hrs tern out a day what ever the weather was . In the wintertime I used to put a kettle of hot water in each water bucket . Hopefully this will help you OUT. Just telling you what I did ,take care and all the best .😄😄😊😊👍👍👍👍💖💟
It’s breed standard natural mane ,ie long mane ,your child needs to learn the word NO !!
I agree, because it could be something more serious n XT time that could seriously hurt the animal or themselves
Collars on horned goats are very dangerous
Collars on any goat is dangerous. Had a dairy goat hang herself and learnt the hard way unfortunately. Never ever again.
And a shetland needs long manes !! ❤ please let them grow long Sophie.
A mini horse and shetland are two entirely different things.
I have Shetland he has long hair
@@nicolegarwood4554 honey is a shetland i think? But a mini horse needs long manes to 🤪
How would you know it was noro virus
Everybody needs to pitch in and feed the animals not just a mom that's worrisome let nobody else wants to go out and feed them

Are you a vet? Where did you get that those are the only two horses that would get a blanket?
That's ridiculous 😔
