For everyone complaining about what happened at 41:20 , the more reasonable move is that he played Guzma, put Ralts in the bench BUT FORGETS TO PLAY OCTILLERY AND RETREAT having the energy for that. It actually didn't had a big impact in the game, Naoto surrendered next turn.
He could have been issued a prize card penalty for this "Faux-Pas". Diego would have lost game as Naoto was sitting on his last prize card. I would call winning that game a pretty big impact. Sure it is a technicality, however these are supposed to be the best players in the world. I have seen players DQ'd at a local event for these types of plays, what makes Diego immune from consequences? Nothing. Just because it's "Diego" or "Naoto" doesn't mean anything! The rules need to be enforced, lest we end up like Yu-Gi-Oh with sh!tty judges and illegal moves with no FnCKS given.
@@Brian79Jones if he’s hating on anything it’s Yu-Gi-Oh’s crappy judging and he’s trying to prevent the Ptcg from becoming that. I don’t understand where you’re coming from because he didn’t imply any hate towards either player. Should nauto have won there due to the prize penalty and change of play next turn? Probably. Did the judges catch it and award him the penalty? No, and it didn’t matter if the penalty wasn’t implicated due to naoto not being able to win in one attack and then giving Diego momentum to keep stalling with N to one to take knockouts with garde. Edit: words
@@leftiealex3632 shut the hell up. Diego himself talked about this mistake in interviews recently and he said that as soon as the finals ended, the head judge approached him and told him "hey you made a mistake in game1, but since it didn't had any impact, you didnt have a penalty." These events should be won by the best players and Diego played better. Period. Still, since Diego didn't receive any warnings during this whole event, even if the judges would have caught this mistake, he would have not ben awarded a prize penalty, merely a warning. So, as I said, F you and F yugioh, this is pokemon, and the best won. Shut the hell up and go jump from a cliff
Just started up the TCG after a 13 year hiatus. What a wonderful match. Spectacular. I'm now totally into the TCG again after seeing this. Both amazing decks and amazing masters. Much respect.
I gotta say, most tcg finals are kinda boring to watch but this one has really good commentary, good keeping up with the side bar cards (which last time was pretty slow) and the matches themselves were really hype with all that counterplay
I was hoping for Naoto the whole time, but that was so intense the whole way through, I can't help but be in awe of both competitors. Good game to everybody involved, not to mention the translators and Professors.
+EdCam TCG This was great, thanks, I have been researching "new edge trading platform" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Anokeen Trading Tetaniformula - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my colleague got cool results with it.
dce was attached to lele so he could reatreat it out and the wimpod on the bench had 60 hp left with an energy, garde had an energy, 30 x 2 = 60, KO for game
The amount of time they spend on "Golisopod"'s name...... "Go-LICE-oh-Pod" "Goh-LACE-o-POD" "GO-L-ES-o-pod" When it should be said as- "Go-Lis-oh-p-ODD" Golisopod Just me, right?...
Diego broke the rules at 41:16. He played Guzma and then promoted his already active ralts instead of switching it to one of the other Pokémon (which btw could have been one shot by a non-buffed Golisopod attack due to weakness). Seems pretty shady to me...
Alolan Vulpix is ridiculously good, put any 2 Pokemon in your deck into you hand for no energy, and what's weird is there's another Alolan vulpix that's just no energy for flipping to put the opponent to sleep but then they might flip heads and wake up, it's so much worse it's weird. But even in a deck of another type entirely with no ninetails it's worth having vulpix, just so over powered
Watching this makes me want to get into the TCG
Happy Hawlucha yeah that's happened to me a lot before but I'm just no good at card games
Happy Hawlucha if you are interested you can play the online game for free to see if you like it. It's called ptcgo
The online version, Pokémon TCG Online, is a good place to start.
Happy Hawlucha download ptcgo its very fun
Happy Hawlucha i will be happy to teach you if you want
Man if there one thing that makes me want to watch tcg tournaments it's high production value and this just looks amazing

The sad thing is that they could have called this game bird vs camel
Paul Ashton No one would've argued with you
Jon me am ur bird friend. Bark bark
This makes it more entertaining with Kermit the frog announcing
Dillon Pauls killed me with that one xD
LMFAOO
Who actually is narrating except from JWittz?
The Top Cut :)
They both went from creating Pokemon related content youtube channels to working for the actual Pokemon company

Hot Diggity did you see the seniors this year?

J-Wittz should do more TCG stuff on his own channel
Vamos Argentina!!! Gran representante nos tocó 💪
Josh and pooka always do it the best
That first game was such a pro clutch! Haha!
Go Diego Go!
41:19
Did he just switch Ralts to itself on Guzma?
Yeah I think he did, Didn't anyone catched it at the moment???????
Bruh
Bruh wtf HAHAHAHAHHA
Judges are horrible on this TCG
I like how half this before is them shuffling
Finally, Gardevoir is back in the spotlight! My favorite Pokémon has always been good, but it's been a year since we've had this big victory...
41:31 Diego plays Guzma retreating the ralts then places it right into the active spot. Not a big difference but the judges should've caught that.
La mano de dios :v
His hands were shaky after that. You could say it's from fear or losing but I doubt it. Who cares, either way
mexicans love cheating
Yeah, it was (hopefully) a mistake, should have placed octillery in the active then retreat with the DCE.
he's not mexican lol

I wish I could participate in one championship but I know it's far away from my country (Portugal) and not cheap at all. lol
These commentators are amazing. I've watched other commentators, and they're just not as exciting
agreed!
One is a youtuber its called jaywittz if im not mistaken his voice
Diego plays really well I hope to see him in more tournaments
BRING BACK MEGA POKEMON
I just found this now, very entertaining, will be hoping to purchasing both decks soon!
Pokemon Is Luv Pokemon Is Life
Not even fair since Japan uses a different format the whole year before Worlds.
Reminds me of the TopCut ;_;. Pooka is love, Pooka is life
This is so cool. At the moment I am building my own deck, mainly ghost and dark, and I feel inspired by seeing these two play. Plus, congrats Diego!
is the Jwitz commentating
Mew1king Yup, he is commentating
¡Vamos Argentina! 🇦🇷
idk...That's a lot of people there to watch card games not on motorcycles
The Battle starts at 4:27
Gardevoir GX amazing card
If i ever get to the champion ship and i lose in second place i will cry like legit
42:14 little mistake, the screen shows Diego 2 for a moment, then changes to 1
I've never played the tcg, but I've been playing vgc for years now. These videos make me want to buy cards so bad lol.
That insane game 1 though. Well Played!
IM SO LOST, WHAT DID THE GUZMA DO AT THE END TO WIN????
dce was attached to lele so he could reatreat it out and the wimpod on the bench had 60 hp left with an energy, garde had an energy, 30 x 2 = 60, KO for game
sample name but I see two prizes left under his name, so he was able to k.o two Pokémon in the one turn or something else?
They forgot to update the prizes after Diego knocked out the Garbodor. Guzma brought up the Wimpod which was the last prize needed.
Joseph ohhhh thank you and everyone else who helped me understand this it was so confusing 😂😂😅
The amount of time they spend on "Golisopod"'s name......
"Go-LICE-oh-Pod"
"Goh-LACE-o-POD"
"GO-L-ES-o-pod"
When it should be said as-
"Go-Lis-oh-p-ODD"
Golisopod
Just me, right?...
Pokemon 4 liFe!!!
I have naoto suzuki world championship 2017 set :D
Grande Diego! Aguante Argentina viejaaaaa
Im just wanting the championship decks printed for this to play with friends.
Lol, Argentina? Genial

Jack Perkins no impactful consequences, Naoto surrendered one turn after. So yeah its pretty stupid calling it
Lol it really didn't matter if it was Ralts or Remoraid.
that's why we gotta build that wall man
He could place octillery and retreat to ralts. I think (and hope) it was a nervous mistake.
Too bad he aint mexican, wall wouldnt do a thing. You will need a roof too.
Judge playing PoGo while world championship. Well played judge, well played.
After the gadevoir EX welcome to the GX
I've been waiting for this
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!

Man so happy for Diego playing since top 8 starting in 2007 got his champion win.

I love pokemon TCG!!!!!!
Please start competition in Agra (The Taj city), India 🏹
Like who feel the same
We have a huge fan base of Pokemon after introduction of Pokémon Go
Wouldn't matter if Diego Cheated with the Guzma it doesn't change the cards in Naoto's deck and what he drew
Don't be dumb. Cheating is cheating, whether it gave Diego an advantage or not.
It isnt easy to get Pokemon cards in Argentina, they are expensive and difficult to find, In the other hand Suzuki, gets them cheaper and easily.
22:50 How does Naoto attach both Choice Band and Float Stone to the same pokemon? I thought a pokemon could only have one tool.
That so cool
It took 42 min to finish a card game
Anyone play Pokémon TCG online and find it unsettling to see human hands shuffling the cards? :P
