It's finally time to see Kaieteur Falls!
After starting the day at the Rewa Eco lodge, we got a river boat upstream to the local 'airport'. Next it was time to jump on our chartered prop plane and head towards the largest single-drop waterfall in the world - Kaieteur Falls!
This was an incredible trip to one of the least visited countries in the world. From exploring the Amazon basin, to finding a harpies eagle nest, to staying in community eco lodges and finally flying to Kaiteur Falls - Guyana is a country to add your list.

He didn't miss the air strip. He was most likely doing a check of the field. It is a common safety tactic on small airfield like those. Since they are often not really maintained.

Thanks so much for your vlogs. I enjoy all of them immensely. No B/S !
I have been to Angel Falls in Canaima, Venezuela twice. it is 969 meters high, but with far less water. Like Guyana, you have to get to Canaima by 'plane, ride powered canoes for hours, and trek for hours too.

I've visited many of the top tourist sites in Brazil, Mexico, Australia, France, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Canada, Japan, the UK, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and a few others, but never got to see Keiture Falls. I hope to go back to my birth country one day and explore some of the sites.

Guyana has interesting places to visit, such as: Port Kaituma, (Jonestown, where the largest suicide occurred in 1978), the border town of Baramita and the shores of Shell Beach. And to the southwest in Region 7: Paruima village (where there are impressive waterfalls such as: Uchii Falls, Panacima Falls and Attabrau Falls), as well as the Amerindian villages of Phillipai and Opadai (in the vicinity of Mount Roraima) 😉

At 6:56, you did not just miss the airstrip. In these situations, the pilot does an initial over-fly to ensure that the airstrip is safe to land on, e.g. no animals, on it. A safety precaution.
