Yes the sinking was so terrifying to all those people. Imagine having time to think about dying and there is nothing you can do! So sad and so cold too!

The water temperature that night was truly bone chilling it was 28 degrees Fahrenheit or -2 Celsius which would have killed some in just seconds due to shock and cardiac arrest you'd be lucky to survive longer than maybe ten or so minutes

The whole terror all those people had to be through… not only being pitch black in the middle of the Atlantic sea, freezing to death. What terrifies me the most is imagining the sounds of Titanic wrecking and going down their feet. And to think other ships saw them but refused to help is just depressing.

Excelente ensamble de las peliculas históricas de esta tragedia del mar!!! Sobre todo la muy buena selección hecha de la pelicula de 1958 basada en libro de Walter Lord y los grandes efectos especiales que se sumaron en la superproduccion de Cameron en 1996.

I always wonder why it says, can stay afloat with four compartments flooded but not five. As the water tight compartments don't go all the way up, wouldn't the water flood over each compartment, even with less, like 4 or 3 flooded.
It’s bounacy. Once five are breeches it is the limits of its boy an you from its ballast. Too much water vs air.
While I don't know the details, I think maybe 4 would not cause enough of a bow angle dip to cause the spillover cascade from bulkhead to bulkhead, but 5 tipped this angle just enough to ensure one would flood after another in an unstoppable sequence. Though, I thought I'd read that this 4-compartment claim was made at the time of design, which means it doesn't relate to angles, or how the Titanic actually sank, so this might have been a simple overall buoyancy issue like Sabrina said. For example, perhaps 3 flooded(and level) compartments would be held up high enough by the buoyancy of the other 9 to keep the water level below bulkhead height.

@@Luizgamer570 Na verdade, o primeiro filme foi "Saved from the Titanic" de 1912, estrelando a sobrevivente Dorothy Gibson. Porém, esse filme foi perdido em um incêndio.
E realmente, o filme mais recente baseado na tragédia foi "Titanic" de 1997. É um ótimo filme, porém tem alguns erros históricos e má representação de certas pessoas históricas.

2:53 they weren't. It's been remarked hundreds of times, but people seem to be running with this one... no one was trapped by the water tight doors. The water tight bulkheads only went up to above water level and were not water tight at the top. When those in the boiler rooms saw the water tight doors closing, they instead went up ladders and exited the rooms through man holes in the ceiling. It was through these doorways that Captain Smith and Andrews assessed the damage from, and saw for themselves how bad it was. But people weren't trapped in the boiler rooms with men scrambling to get out through the closing doors like in James Cameron's "Titanic". That was drama. On that note, 3rd class passengers weren't locked behind mesh gates like in the movie either. just fyi.
