Blame Harmony Gold for that. The last exciting Macross I watched was "Macross Frontier" and the even better "Macross Zero" prequel. Macross nowadays, I don't know what to call it, but it's just not as good as it used to be.😮💨

Roy Fokker,Rick Hunter,Lisa Hayes,Claudia Grant,Max Sterling,MIria ( as a Zentraedi and a micronian ) I remember paying $15 USD back in 1985 at the Japanese Import Collectibles store for them. This was when Star Wars figures were going for $5.95 USD. My Scott Bernard 1 / 6 scale figure with Cyclone motorcycle that can be transformed cost me $39.95 USD in 1985.
Hands down Legendary Japanese CARTOON show... The video game was epic.. I loved fighting in Guardian mode..... The fight / dodging incoming missiles was difficult.. Sony..please remake Robotech
I never got around to watching the originals, but I loved watching the Harmony Gold dubbed versions after school every day back in the 80s. I almost prefer the dubbed version because it just sounds weird hearing the original voice actors and the character names. I'm used to Rick, Lisa, Claudia, and Roy. I also prefer the Robotech opening theme better.
Let's wait until they get the current woke infection out of Hollywood before they ruin another good IP like they have with Star Wars, the MCU, Indiana Jones, and the perversion of classic Disney...
I was a total Robotech nerd. That show , TOP GUN and a couple other shows motivated me to get my pilots license. Heck I use to listen to the Top Gun sound track on the way to the airfield. I had the movie on loop while I was doing some last minute cramming for the exam. I passed of course.
This is one of my absolute favorite Japanese anime shows and concepts, Macross - Robotech, I have only two of the aircraft models and wish I could have bought more when they first came out. I just love the idea of a vehicle that's able to change into other weapons.

Que lindo ver fragmentos así, me llevan a mi niñez y ver en tv que en los 80' promocionarán que próximamente por nueva serie de dibujos animados. Se llamaría ROBOTECH en Argentina. Yo venía de ver todos mis días a bugs bunny, correcaminos, pantera rosa, Tom y Jerry, etc... tantas así onda caricaturas, lo más parecido a dibujos real podría tratarse de heamen.... Pero, y de la nada, y de repente... aparece Robotech. Con todos dibujos de personas reales, batallas áreas tan intensas, historias atrapantes, personajes (a veces protagonistas) que podria morir, cosa que en las caricaturas era todo infantil. Como me atrapó esa serie, vi todos los capítulos los grabé vi sus películas los reviví ya de grande. Hoy a mi adultez los recuerdo con nostalgias me trasladan a los tiempos y lugares los más bonitos de mi vida...

Por que no buscás ver la original Macross? El teniente Hikaru Ichijo, la comandante Misa Hayase, la cantante Lyn Min Mei, etc. Te aseguro que es mil veces mejor que ese producto yanqui Robotech que todos conocimos.
La nave se llama Fortaleza superdimensional Macross. La isla donde se estrella se llama Ataria, y luego los pobladores son los habitantes de la fortaleza Macross. No había ninguna guerra mundial hasta que la nave se estrelló, luego empieza la guerra de unificación (nuevo orden mundial?). El gobierno de la Tierra Unida no es más que el NWO. Por eso el comandante Focker estuvo en la guerra hacia poco tiempo cuando vuelve a encontrarse con Hikaru (rick hunter) y no hacía diez años como en Robotech. Por esto tiene estilos tan diferentes dentro de la misma serie. Únicamente la primera parte, la de "Rick Hunter" es realmente Macross. Luego en Japón sacaron secuelas de Macross que ignoran totalmente lo que le agregaron de las otras series en Robotech.
Way past time the world got another Robotech/Macross series. First time I saw anything Macross was the 4-episode Macross Plus OVA. I was blown away by it in the late 90s early 2000s.

ガウォークが垂直に浮き上がってホバリングからの変形、そのまま水平飛行に移るところは違和感がある。ガウォークからの飛行なら、腕とガンポッドは収納状態で滑走、速度をつけてから浮き上がりつつファイターに変形ならもっとカッコいいし、自然。
そこは自分も思いました
垂直に上がったなら、そこからファイターに変形してダイブ→引き起こし…ってな感じもアリだけど、かなり上昇しないと無理だわなw
