I got the Chuckizard SIR in my FIRST PACK of 151 and was immediately sold on the set haha its just so good.. and the pull rates really aren't bad imo.

As someone fairly new to collecting, a video on how to sell/ properly use TCGPlayer would be great! Very interesting to see reverses such as metapod so expensive, good info for sure, thanks.

I basically made my money back opening my first ETB of 151. Pulled the Venusaur SAR and several other high value cards from one box. Very impressed with this set! Love the video.

I am 27 and I also opened my first packs of 151 after 16 years. I completed the Master set twice now. They know what they are doing, never seen the community this hyped about collecting.
Havenât bought cards since 99/2001 Iâm 28 so these got my attention and man Iâm hook on finishing 2 packs in UPC and ETC so far so many hits I love the art.
I stumbled across this channel and I like the angle you've taken. Whilst others are hitting the high cards, you talk about the bulk and where the value is there. Nice one. Subscribed!

Tiktok shops made this set very affordable during the black friday coupon weeks. It was wild. Collected Master Balls for 151 Japanese more tho now since those prices are even jumping up for reverse holo singles
I just got into the cards, I'm building up some bulk for when my son is old enough we will have a little honeypot, don't have anything yet just looking to find out where to start and what to buy, great video man!
Prices are high on cards because you have to pay so much per pack as there are no booster boxes and it's constantly sold out for the booster bundles with scalpers upping the price on em

Great information, I will keep this in mind. I am actually donating my bulk of cards to the local library. The kids have a pokemon club once a month and I'm sure they will love free cards.

I've been keeping all of my reverse holo cards for trading with others. I know there's a lot of collectors going for a complete master set with them.

Great explanation and presentation of the info! I'm like many who are getting back into it for the first time in decades. I pulled an illustration rare Erika's Invitation and I'm anxious to try the PSA process!
These make sense. i have a full ETB of reverse holos and the hardest to find reverse holo was the female nidoran, lapras, ratticate, pinsir, and kabuto for me. i ended up buying 3 of those cards because i didnt pull a single one from 8 etbs, 2upcs, 4 binders, 4 zaptos and 2 alakazams.

Thanks for the info. I didnt expect to sÃĐe auch prices on reverse holos, but i keep safe each cards from 151 set. This set is Legendary. Its sure that over years some cards increased in value. I think i would keep safe in my binder all reverse holos etc could be much more valuable in 10 years.

Haven't collected in about 4 years but I'll definitely be picking up as much 151 as I can to sit on for a few years then either open or trade.
Master setting 151 got me back in to collecting. I even graded two SIR zards!

I kinda go over board with putting cards in sleeves. If itâs a reverse, regular holo or anything better I sleeve it. I guess old habits from when I was young are going to pay off lol
151 is a GREAT set to collect and getting all the reverse holos for a master set is where it is AT. I've been sleeving and stashing any I get that isn't already in my master set
The thing is I pulled both charmander illustration, and alakazam alt. These card prices are insane for the semi abundant pull rates.

I like the idea of selling on TCGPlayer but I'm afraid no one will buy... When I personally buy from TCG I usually skip over the people who have only a few sales even if they're the cheapest... Any advice?

I'm getting back into pokemon after 20 years and I honestly don't think I've missed much. Everything previous to Team Up is kind of undesirable or too expensive or both. 151 is nothing but a gorgeous set and that's what will make people collect it. Speaking from a personal perspective, I think new people coming into collecting will think the same as well and will gravitate toward the newer sets
I sold my reverses from my first rips for cheap. Saw they were higher than usual and held on to the ones Iâve ripped recently.
My daughter has started collecting and we've been playing some pokemon. Is it worth getting the scarlet and violet cards or should I get her the new paradox rift cards?
Probably would just go for paradox rift! Top 3 sets that are affordable right now with awesome cards are Paradox Rift, Paldea Evolved, and if you want one that has a super high hit rate with amazing cards, go for Crown Zenith 100%

Yea 151 has been a blast art wise to make a master set for not so much on luck pulling everything without creating a massive amount of bulk. Still need 14 cards 4 reverse holos them being Gengar, Pinsir, Ditto and Jolteon. 1 normal ex being zapdos followed by Poliwhirl, Mr. Mime, Omanyte, Dragonair illustration rares. Not too many ultra rares left just Charzaird ex, Blastoise ex, Arbok, Golem and Mew EX.
Honestly, the amount of holographic Gengar, Ditto and Jolteons i have lying around but not a single reverse holo for them makes me cry.
