I'm looking at the crazy amount of packs in this video and I'm thinking, "Man, 151 packs sure are scarce in stores right now."
Yeah tell me about it must be nice.....
Yeah it sucks ppl are just too greedy
Just like this dude
@@Surfer_Dude858 He says in the video he sells them online, dude clearly buys in bulk straight from the supplier.
Its about 2200 dollars in packs if he went the booster bundle route.
I realised 20 minutes in that this was the same recording as the "I opened 500 Scarlet and Violet 151 so you don't have to" lol
In SV era the light packs are actually higher hit rate. In 151 the holo energies are pretty heavy, they can still have hits of course but it makes it harder to know if heavy packs are just energies or if they are hits. That said, from my experience there are hits throughout all pack weights.
smart man
thank you..someone who actually knows..all the SIR / SAR will come from the light packs the heavies will be holo energies and v cards ... gold cards weigh the most
It's actually really nice to see they made the packs that way now. It's insanely frustrating trying to buy anything online anymore
Pokemon announced in their warehouse that they mix the weights now to prevent weighing.
Given the different foil pack variations as well as the randomly inserted cosmo holo energies, I feel they made weighing 151 almost impossible to find guaranteed hits. With a holo and a double reverse in every pack makes weighing almost impossible as is but the extra precautions should make it for next to impossible
Hey, so you're the reason I can't find anyone 151 packs. This man took them all
Seriously.
Gotta catch em all bruh 🤷♂️😅
As I've started to hear them say, "It's for science"😂
The weight difference is probably mostly due to paper density not being 100% uniform, and the foil layer could be affecting in other cases. Remember that reverses and regular holos use the foil too. Then there's also different dye weights, so if certain dye in pack is prevalent it might tip scale for 1g or more. Ofc there's also package weight and scale precision in play as well. Too many variables in play and it still comes down to gamble at the end of it all.
We had this issue back in the day at less than reputable card shops with original sets. There would always be open booster boxes on the counter with all light boosters. The shops would weigh them, open the heavies and put the holos in the case, and put the lights in the box to sell for $2.99. I was way too young to realize or know about this back then but I'm glad it's less common now.
Source: older friends that i have now, who worked in card shops and did this. They said it was common practice and talked about between shop employees.
I noticed that I don't think you got a single holo energy in any of those light packs with all of the hits.
10:46
@dwightschrute5379 the comment came before he had moved on from the lightest packs. I watched the whole video.
No he did
12:36 bruh he did
Yeah he did he got a lot
He should've weight holo cards to see which one is the heaviest. (full art, energy etc.)
Maybe we can upload a Short testing this out!
@@mysticripspls do that
@@mysticripscan I please have a mew ex gold card for my birthday today is my birthday
5:57 “OMG Squir-Blastoise!”
My guess was that the SV sets have code cards of varying weights with identical prints on them or that it’s something to do with the pack itself (I’ve noticed some packs feel different from others). The fact all the medium packs had holo energies is definitely neat and a great equalizer.
It is highly plausible that they offset the weights with the code cards or the packaging.

I mean I was excited about my pulls man, but you took it to a whole new level. And thanks for the mythbusting
I'm curious to test card weights of the back cards and see if they differ
Great video man 🙌 love the concept
Not sure what channel did it but they weighed each individual card of every type and using a excel spreadsheet to calc you could take the weight of a pack and figure out what combination of cards were in the pack based on the weight
Hits are made of different material to be lighter
What if you weighed the cards individually to see what type of cards is the heaviest
Seems like common sense right?
@@rais.3817still would be interesting
great video but, it would make your claim much more believable if you showed the process of you opening the packs instead of cutting to the good part. it's pretty sketchy
This why you never saw these packs in stores every TH-camr bought them to open for us
You have some of the best deals on TikTok man! I appreciate you.
Re-uploaded? I was just watching this🙄
Awesome video!! Thanks for sharing the experiment with us!😊
TH-cam cut the last 2 minutes off the end of the video😢 Now you can finally see the outcome though! 😊
Original One Was Just 24 Mins
It counted as private for me
Yesssssss! Thank youuu
This looks like his first opening
How close to completing the set were you with ALL those paks?
Bro I dig your videos man I know you be having so much fun
Remember that Hundo axew in Pokémon go, you didn’t evolve it on community day
LIGHTWEIGHT BABYYYYYY
Waaaaaaaa ooooooooo Yeah buddayyy
Maybe the code card is the equalizer to prevent scammers. Or maybe a full art holo and non holo are just insignificantly so close to the same weight now? Either way I’m jealous u got to open all those packs lol
The way this man handles his cards makes him a menace to society.
18:57 am i the only one who noticed the triple starmie hit? Go check it out.
“🎵🎶 I got something, I got something. I got Mew EX!🎶🎵”
• 4:36 Lightest: 21.89; Heaviest: 23.19
• 6:49 Super Light: 7 Packs: 10 Hits = 142% Hit Rate
• 17:30 Slightly Light: 175 Packs: 54 Hits = 32% Hit Rate
• 9:22 Light Packs: 25 Packs: 21 Hits = 84% Hit Rate
• 23:21 Medium Packs: 222 Packs: 104 Hits = 47% Hit Rate
• 26:13 Heavy Packs: 52 Packs: 55 Hits = 106% Hit Rate
• 29:55 Super Heavy Packs: 44 Packs: 26 Hits = 59% Hit Rate
😅
I'm curious to know the hit rates without energies factored in
Do you think the new galaxy holo energies is what throws everything off. Maybe they weigh more then the other holo?
Yes. The galaxy holos are the heaviest. But somehow my full art alakazam ex was the lightest
Ya it seems that this set can’t be weight except for those hollow energy’s
I’ve gotten normal and reverse holos that physically feel thicker in comparison to another pack
"hands down Easy Peasy" LMAO
Hey by the way the quest "distracted by something shiny" got fixed in pokemon go instead of fighting jessie or james its battle 4 pokemon go grunts
So did you weigh them the other day when you just so happened to have amazing hits in nearly every pack at the start?
If you watch the other video you'll notice Its the exact same footage, we just recorded both videos at the same time :) just removed alternate parts of the video depending on which one was being edited first
Im very interested in this theory! Excited to watch the video and see the results!
moral of story , don't buy individual pack.
I watched a video where someone weighed individual trainers and energies from 151 and they each weighed slightly different per pack that's how they fixed it. I'm glad they did though.
nice video. crazy how you got 2 different 30 minute videos from the same 500 packs just cut up and narrative changed lol
The unedited footage was just under 3 hours with weighing and opening. Can't open 500 packs as fast you think 😅
@@mysticrips that wasn’t the point. The point is 2 videos made from the same pack opening lol the first 151 opening and this one are the same just cut up different is what I’m tryin to get across lol
The real question is: How many metapods you got?
im pretty sure that most packs are going to have hits in them considering the fact that they just printed the new 151 set in english
Is it just me or do the stacks of packs in the background look like the same that are in the other 151 500 packs video?
*Haha, his "Quick" way is the same as his "slow" way.*
super light: 142%
light: 84%
slightly light: 32%
medium: 47%
heavy: 106%
super heavy: 59%
Thats why i never pull anything weighting them with my hands at the store😭
My guess is the catalyst here would be the holo energies. Not a single light pack had one. Then the sort of light starting having them.
Considering that the one god pack you found was in the stack of light packs, i'd go for that.
Weight the code cards feom each tier. Im pretty sure the code cards are printed with different waves to make packs heavier or lighter.
Man realizes how common those energies really are lol
One thing that I'm curious about is the thickness of the wrapper contributing to weights. Some of the wrappers are the typical really thick SV quality but other wrappers have been the thinner quality from before SV. is there a difference between heavy and light packs of thick wrappers vs heavy/light packs of thin wrappers?
Top tier content my friend!! I hulk smashed that like button 👍
Would love to find that Mystic set up this video and it is just fake info, to troll scalpers into chasing light packs that are actually full of nothing. Amazing effort though, wish I could land some of these pulls!
Try weighing the code cards 🤔 curious if that’s where the weight is changing since some lighter packs had double hits and even a god pack and most of the heavier packs didn’t have any hit
Another awesome video man! these packs were absolutely wild haha 😂😂
Hey man! Really love your vids! Question: where do you buy your cards from?
Where do you get the packs from :) ?
Insane pulls! & myth busted hahaha
great content as usual man
sometimes is more heavy for the cartoon´s colours, some colours are made by heavyers materials.
The big DADDY 💀
Cool video for sure but I skipped to the end because I’ve already seen you open these packs in the master set collection video
It's funny that you say you don't condone weighing packs but at the same time you're showing the scammers exactly what strategy to use if they wanna keep the more likely hits to themselves 🤣
*I would presume what the cards are made out of would greatly effect the weights.*
Did you notice, the have two different packages, the heaver one has no pulls, the normal one ( like before) has hits
10:02 in the video, there was a holo energy behind the ex cards.
Blud’s packing heat!!! Bro is a Pokémon monopoly!!! Blud is le puller of good pulls!
Dude WTF. The first two packs with straight bangers!!!
maybe the holo energies are messing with the weights?
Did anyone else notice that at 18:56, he hit reverse holo Staryu and reverse holo Starmie, then the holo Starmie in 1 pack.
Also most of the packs on in the light weight pack sooooo statistically you are more likely find packs with less hits in that group
this is the best video i have seen in the afternoon
This made me very happy, thank you.
It sucks that the regular holographic cards are not considered to be rare anymore. To me, they're still hits, because regardless of how everything is done now, they're still holographic. And weighing packs just ruins the whole surprise, but once in a good while is alright, I think. I wish they still had regular rare cards, and I wish secret rares didn't take up 1/3 of the set. But all that aside, I do love how beautiful a lot of these new cards are, especially up close in person. :)
holo have not been classed as hits for a very long time at least 10-15 years and even since xy era most normal holo from sets are considered bulk
Did you weigh the pack material after because I have opened a bunch and there are major difference in material weight for the pack material some is see through and easily ripped some is thick and harder to rip
"These ex cards are easy to get" says the guy with 1,073,639,826,027,000 packs
I've opened over 1000 packs for my dream card... THE SAR ZAPDOS its my favourite card to ever be printed
Ive opened 150 packs easily and only got one double hit. It was both rare charizards and i was stoked. I cant believe how many double hits youre getting.
I wonder which energy cards have the most swirls.
Foil weights less than the chunk of cardboard I think lol
i will say this, i've opened well over 500 packs and i still have some of the old rappers laying around. I feel like the weight differs so much especially 151 is because the wrappers are all different depending on print run or something idk. But I have some that are super thick and some that arent.
Light packs gonna be the new hit lol..
You should have a binder full of very card you collect!
Did you notice the supper light packs with the hits had no holo energy cards...
Thank you for doing this 👍🏼✌🏼
I fell asleep while watching this I was so exhausted
I swear this video got posted the other day, deja vu
The squrtle full art card must be a hella rare card cause out of all 500 packs i didnt see a single one..
Anyone know the best place to buy from for best pull rates? Thanks! 😊
Light pack = more likely to have hits, because less likely to have a foil energy, unless its a triple hitter or a god pack
You should weigh the code cards and wrappers from the heaviest and lightest!
The fact you got a lighter in your scale makes me think you weigh something other than Pokémon lmao😂😂😂
Really cool man to see open up all these packs. New to the hobby. What does SAR stand for
Secret art rare
@franeknapoleon1136 thank you very much
Pokémon switched the whole game up to get back at scammers and give back to people victim of it lol
9:48 I got that same pull almost exact same with nidoking and mew gold
You should have stopped and started to weigh each and every card to get a definitive answer. We found out pretty early on it couldn't be weighed. Now you'll have to open a other 500 packs weighing each card to crack the Pokemon myth. Till then the myth lives on and we're all still clueless...
The lighter packs have better hit rates? Haven't heard/seen that before
Ok, so they made it close enough so that there's a possibility, but not a probability that the weight of the packs aren't correlated to the hits. But also, all God packs are light packs?
pokemon opening is for fun. some people try to turn it into a science rofl
Well that's nice. Are they still putting random colour code cards now? Like you can now weigh them at all even from the code colour.
