I was privelidged enough to see this at Wembley with my daughter and son in law and I have to say it was the best concert I have been to, truly down to earth honest Adele, opening up to her fans and truly involving all of us in the stunning performance. It must have been such a difficult decision for her to cancel the other dates as her fans mean so much to her and I love the way she shuns the spotlight and is just her normal self. No person that uses her voice as she does can complete such a long tour without damaging their vocal cords. I can't understand why she thought she could do it without some consequence.

I saw Adele in May 2011, just a couple months after 21 debuted. My roommate and I had been listening to 21 nonstop since he got a copy a month before the US drop. Beacon Theatre in NYC, maybe 2800 people. It was one of the most beautiful shows I’d ever seen. And Adele was so humble and funny. And I’ll never forget that. Her voice was heavenly. She ended on a guitar solo of Someone Like You to which she gave the chorus to the audience. Everyone knew every word. We were bawling. It was so beautiful.

Well, considering the fact that she was suffering from extreme vocal blow-out by then, she still sounded bloody amazing. The only thing I did notice was that she dodged them high notes on the line what goes: "Don't forget me, I beg, I'll remember you said: 'Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead", but what singer can put their hand on their heart and say they ain't done that live as well? Other than that, she sounded absolutely tip-top, as always. I get the feeling she'll be back and that, regardless of what she says, we ain't seen the last of her, 'cos let's be fair: singers "retire" from the stage all the time, and they pretty much always make a comeback sooner or later- (Cher, Tom Jones and Tina Turner, for instance, to name just a few such singers!) I'll be honest: I desperately wanna see her perform live, so if she has quit the stage for good, then I'm gutted!
