I bought the marmor lightray jacket from 6pm.com and I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship and warranty for life. Marmot is better than north face and Columbia and Canada goose.
Thank you so much I just purchased this jacket after losing my last Columbia. Saw some negative reviews and was a bit concerned on my purchase. After seeing your video I am again confident that I made the right choice, I think some reviewers were expecting WAY too much out of this jacket at its price point. I appreciate you thanks again
@@nn5n I love the jacket it fits me better than the Columbia one I had to replace. Specially the hood, it has way better adjustments as for water Repellency they are about the same although I liked the Columbia just a bit better. Glad I went Marmot Precip do to the hood
I have the precip and the minimalist. Precip is incredible ligth and efective. Ligth rain with no problem. Long march 30 and more km no problem. Durable, resistent... But yes, the Minimalist is better for the goretx that is imbatible under heavy rain and long march. Very recomended for 30km march or more in good conditions. Wearing the Precip is like not wearing anything. It's very comfortable. I would buy the Precip jacket again if I lost it Thumbs up from Spain.
Thanks for making the video. My only question is what is the actual waterproof efficiency of this jacket, especially after a few hours in the rain. Thanks!
That’s true! I had forgotten about that. Thanks for checking out the video and leaving a comment. The real reason I stuffed the jacket into the stuff sack though was to show the size when stowed away in a bag, I don’t feel the need to actually put it in the stuff sack when on the trail.
Thanks for the video :) would you recommend this jacket as a third layer while skiing ? I have had the last 15 years a goretex Shell jacket that was very nice but expensive... I am looking for a simple third layer waterproof breathable and windproof jacket:) looking at your video it sounds it is the jacket i am looking for :)
Hi shane thanks for your informative video. For some reason there is some weird glitching going on i have seen this with a few of the youtubers where the video cuts in a weird way please stop it is annoying. thanks mate h
Hi PS photography! I have used the jacket for running. I wonder if it might not be fitted enough for cycling. I think it might billow a little too much for that. I hope you find that helpful.
That’s a good question. I have an older heavier waterproof Gore Tex jacket by The North Face. I wouldn’t say it performs a lot better, though it might resist ripping/tearing a bit better. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
I am not super familiar with the precip eco, but what I could find online suggested that it’s just the DWR treatment that is different. This is very minor in my opinion, as it will need to be reapplied about annually.
Adventures of Shane and Laura ah, ok, thanks. I also think that the precip eco can have recycled materials and that the difference stops at this. sorry if my English is not very good and I made some grammar mistakes, but I'm Italian! 😁 thanks again 👍

Have you used this jacket before? If so, what did you think of it?

Thumbs up from Spain.
My PreCip has saved me several times over the past 5 years! I'm glad that you enjoyed SPI, that's my hood.
Right on!

My PreCip inner lining only started flaking off after 8 years of use. Not a bad return of investment.
You should be able to stuff into one of the pockets. It has its own built in stuff sack.

These are solid rain gear for LIGHT rain. You’re gonna want to break that $150 barrier to get the technical 3-layers like H2NO and Futurelight
I like the jacket and Marmot is a good brand. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Arbitrary Exploration!
Hey bud, I got news for you. You can roll the jacket into its own pocket.
Thx for the review mate I just purchase one online because of you ;)!
Thanks! Hope it works well for you!

i'm in florida, and looking for a budget rain jacket for my camping trips. would this one work ? will it keep me kinda warm ?
This rain jacket is extremely lightweight so I wouldn’t count on it keeping you warm.
Hello, is it good for running or cycling?

@@salvatorepicone1964 Wow, actually your English is great for not being a native speaker!
Bobcat Outsider thank you very much, too kind, a greeting from Italy! 👍🏻👋🏻😄
Adventures of Shane and Laura when you say it needs to be waterproofed annually, would this be in the form of spraying nikwax waterproofing?
Funny enough, I've never had this jacket, but it looks great! Great review! :)
Thanks Hox & Jones! We appreciate you guys stopping by and taking the time to comment!
Hello, which size is recommended for me, 170lbs 5'9 ''?
Hi Pablo. I’d probably go with a medium at your height and weight.
0:29 so it's not waterproof? Are you a shill or telling the truth?
“It is waterproof or at least highly water resistant.” We did not receive any money from Marmot for reviewing this product.
@@AdventuresofShaneandLaura did you pay for the product with your own money or was it sent to you for free?
We paid for it with our own money as I state later in the video if you watch the whole review.
