Joji Nakata is likely half the reason Sol's my favorite protagonist when it comes to fighting games. He turns Sol from Daisuke's self-insert to a character that oozes badassery. Special shoutouts to Baiken's current voice as well, Mayumi Asano. Really sells the angry nature of someone like Baiken.
Johnny Yong Bosch's performance as Adachi is honestly something to behold, its so fucking good. Also if theres ever a sequel to this video, you gotta give Terumi and Hazama's Japanese VA some love, he nails the slime of Hazama and the sadism of Terumi perfectly. SHINE YO BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKA!

A "small" story related to this: A few days ago I just happened to stumble on a person's BB CS arcade playthrough with Hazama on Hell Difficultly. Going "why not" I decided to watch it, and while I was watching it made me realize how much I *miss* Erik Davies as Hazama/Terumi so badly. Don't get me wrong, I *really* enjoy what Doug Erholtz brought for Hazama/Terumi in CP onward and feel he does a great job as the two, but Erik's role as Hazama really felt like he was having the time of his life playing this character to the fullest. Makes a man wonder if what would happen if he got to keep the role. And I also just recently found out he played Kamen Rider Sting in the Dragon Knight video games...That blew my mind. Yeah thanks for making a video on one of the many reasons I love fighting games Lucid!
I'd honestly like to add basically everyone from BB: notably Terumi, Jin when he's around Ragna, Ragna, Azrael and like a dozen others. A large part of why I even play Terumi is cause of his va tbh, Tsubaki is a much better fit in terms of playstyle
honestly my shoutout would be Cristina Vee's Noel in BBTag, it was the best she ever sounded in the role imo and she put her whole voice into those supers
Another great example is Joe Higashi's old VA Nobuyuki Hiyama and the new one Kozo Mito, both have done a great job with Joe, and seem to really like shouting SCREEEW.... UPPER! for his super move, and let's not forget Ralf's Bunshu Shinoya and Takuma/Mr. Karate's Eiji Tsuda

Insta-fave. I'm saving this in my voice acting playlist. Btw, some of my favourite (JP) voices in BB come from CT, actually. Bang, Ragna and Tager are my faves, but the entire cast is stellar. Then, in CS we have freaking Hazama :3 CP gave us some of Azrael's best lines, which sadly have been replaced. Also, props for including other amazing games, too.

His voice sounds deeper in CF, but in CP he sounds like he's legit having the time of his life... For me at least. Though, CF also gave us many good voices, and they didn't replace some good ones like Kagura or Terumi's. Terumi's Jabaku fuuenjin has some golden quotes.

You don't know how much I respect you for putting Crispin Freeman's Siegfried in Soul Calibur 3 in here. His lines just have so much BITE to them and I remember being mad disappointed that he never repreised the role in 4, or even 6. Roger Craig Smith and Kirk Thorton just don't even compare to the level of aggression that Crisipin delivers imo. I'd nominate Erik Davies into this pantheon for his role as Hazama in Blazblue Continuum Shift. That man's performance stole the entire show of that story, and it sucks that he was one-and-done. He retired after this game from voice acting period, iirc. Thank you for this video.
Doug Erholtz hams it up perfectly as Hazama/Terumi, and his laugh is still unrivaled by anyone except Hamill's Joker! Very underappreciated as a VA in my opinion.
Aside from pointing out that Wakamoto also does Dictator since the first Capcom VS SNK and that Masako Nozawa does every Goku as well (including half of Gotenks and Gogeta), gotta push for my two SNK guys: Atsushi "Monster" Maezuka and Kong Kuwata, both long-tenured mainstays to the point of surviving XIV and XV without being changed (for one of their characters at least). Maezuka's mainstay roles have been Benimaru in KOF and Kyoshiro in SamSho but he's also done Ralf and Choi as well as Shikyoh/Mukuro in Last Blade; Kuwata is everyone's favorite Engrish waterfowl: Geese Howard, as well as Genjuro in every SamSho incarnation.
sc3 Siegfried is one of my favorite voices for a character in any game ever, grew up with that game and seeing the character's voice work recognized instantly put a smile on my face

(JP) Carmine in both BBTAG and Under Night in Birth should get a mention because when you do his finishing move he goes all out in it, even despite it being one of the most boring finishers in the game, he still goes all out in a Terumi-esque way.
Fun fact: Voice actor for Sean in sf3 new generation and second impact is same as Jin Kazama for main tekken series game. That’s probably why Sean is op in the second game. (God can u imagine Sean wave dashing with Sean tackle as low and wheel kick as overhead?!?)

You put in Baiken in GGXRDRev2, yet you included the second loudest "Tatami Gaeshi" and not the loudest. The loudest, she goes in HARD. Also, Kyle Hebert as Ryu in MvC Infinite. He was one of the few saving graces of the voice acting, and those Shin Shoryukens are probably the best he's sounded as Ryu. Long story short, please do a Part 2. And maybe include Pichu's Final Smash from Smash Ultimate.

Also, Kyle Hebert as Ryu in MvC Infinite. He was one of the few saving graces of the voice acting, and those Shin Shoryukens are probably the best he's sounded as Ryu.
