Oh bro I spend a lot of time in the bush and I have a good tolerance but it is tuff. This was a short video but really I was out there for 3 hours with no repellant. I just couldn't take it any more. I had bumps on me for about 2 weeks after. I went camping 3 weeks later and it was way worse. Black fly swarms on the day shift and mosquitoes ran the night shift. The ticks were working doubles. Lol had a great time and cooked some curried rabbit stew for dinner. It was a great time.

I must be getting sour as I age, they don't love me anymore like they do you. I laughed when you called those other bands "garbage." I've been calling shitty stuff (and people) garbage since I was a kid. Is that a "thing" up there? Anyways, thanks for making me aware of these. I've been wanting to try another .040-ish thickness latex. My favorite isn't available anymore.
Lol I bet you guys understand the skeeters. I went on a camping trip a few weeks ago and the black flies were out all day and the skeeters came out at night. Brutal. I have been useing garbage for as long as I remember too..... for all things garbage including people. I thought it was just a me thing. Lol I'm glad I have some back up. Just a heads up I have found these bands a little hit and miss. The performance is really good but life is just ok.
@@ATOMark Thanks! That seems to be the way it goes. There is always a trade off. I had some Chinese stuff, can't remember the brand, I believe it was bone white .040. It was brutally fast and would last a decent while, but the feel just wasn't good. There was something off about the power curve no matter what taper I tried. Man would it blast stuff though. Had my fastest can cut with it - two shots. Of course I was cheating - hex nuts for the win lol. Anyway, always a trade off. I like the way those GZK's look too. Haven't seen anything translucent/transparent in a long time. P.S. I looked up those black flies and they sound like a nightmare. Apparently they are super important for the ecosystems they inhabit though. Wikipedia says the larvae in the largest rivers can produce *HUNDREDS OF TONS* of poop per day that feeds and fertilizes all manner of stuff. (They must be almost as full of shit as I am.) We just have horseflies, they are enormous and the bite hurts almost as much as a bee sting, but they don't come in swarms.
Hey Mark, a few years ago I bought a pair of Jester frame blanks from Eric Au at Metro Grade Goods. The way they're made I could set them up for leather tabs or tie on. I'd like your opinion on how I should make them. Thanks
I have one from Eric, it's my favorite for small bands and BBs. I always set it up how he sent it, 1632 tubes and leather tabs. Don't even know how I'd tie them..

Skeeters are really getting ya eh? Just tried those 0.40 mm bands and they are great. Surprisingly fast. Nice spot to shoot - and great shooting too!

From Ali Express it took about 3-4 weeks. Gzk is fast but they get you with customs

I cant remember where I got this one. It was either slingshooting.com or catty shack catapults. The tripod is my old camera tripod.

It really all depends on your accuracy. Wayne Martin has dropped critters farther than 30m.
You should test some 1.0 bands and see how well you do.
