this might just be one of my favorite paint schemes, I do love the regular Hiawatha paint scheme, but this is now one of my personal favorite paint schemes I've ever seen Lionel do
Awesome engine! I love the Hiawatha in its Milwaukee Road scheme but it just looks amazing in the Atlantic Coast Line livery. I don't know how Jeff comes up with these custom ideas but every time they turn out looking amazing. Great review!
Awesome to see you back. I was hoping you hadn’t gotten out of the game. Went and saw Jeff just before Christmas and picked up the custom run Southern Vista Dome he did.
@ Im glad I did. For the price is very nice. I love old Southern NC routes and while 1602 mostly saw time on the crescent south of Atlanta, it’s close enough to 1613 which ran on the Asheville special near the end for me to play make believe until we can get a 1613. The NC trains saw a pretty eclectic mix of southern passenger cars between lightweights with silver roofs, lightweights with black roofs and old Heavy’s and modernized heavyweights which are the same color I believe as the dome cars. I’m hoping another run of the modernized heavyweights. I’ve seen pictures of Southern Pacific, and Great Northen sleepers on some Southern consists in the 60s. I need to grab the whole Crescent consist and the E8 but I have the M.T.H. F7’s preordered for now and I’m a sucker for the tuxedo scheme.
I think Schenectady NY on tender. Why would a steam locomotive have a horn instead of a whistle? Lionel did put a whistle on the NPC Sleigh Bell Limited version of the Hiawatha because they thought it more appropriate for a Christmas steam engine. Sem-in-ole is the correct pronounciation of that American tribe name I believe. That is gorgeous. Wish I had all the money I need to buy every train I like but unfortunately I don't.
That is a nice locomotive. Thanks for the overview. Looking forward to seeing the passenger cars. I think you meant to say Sem-i-nole. Not trying to be the pronunciation sheriff but I had to as an FSU fan. I remember when they used to play football.
I hated to have to pass on ordering this beauty due to the numerous other items I pre-ordered. Maybe some day I'll pay too much on the secondary market. 😂

Beautiful color scheme. The horn sounds like a GG-1.
@@imcaptainobvious3079 for sure. I wish I had the base3 connected to check out the other horn tones! Hopefully soon to see the other offerings…
Thanks for posting a video of this gorgeous engine! Jeff did a great job designing this beauty!
Yes, it's a stunning model, isn't it?

Do you have any sneak spoilers for the 2025 catalog?

@misthunter210 was a little torn on that one. I know it’s prototypical but such a drastic difference from the other cars. Maybe I should grab it?

The glossy purple is beautiful.
@@GlennFresch it’s really grown on me!!! Wasn’t sure at first, but I think I’m falling for it 😍
What is the model and part number of the passenger cars? Thanks and glad to see you back on TH-cam
@@guyboudreaux9261 which ones? ACL or Southern?

You're not wrong about the location of the Mars light. Lionel has them reversed.
@@cstoia seems they got a couple things mixed then, not just the smoke!

He still has plenty at the moment, so there's time for ya before that eBay tax!
