Hello MM! If you currently have a wireless plan, then TextNow would be more useful as a second line and could work well using the data plan from your current SIM card. If you don't have a phone plan or SIM card you would need the TextNow sim to call/text when away from wifi. Is that what you're asking?

Text Now has Tractor Supply ad that pops up over my entire computer screen which is so annoying. I wouldn't care if it was popping up on the side but it interrupts my messaging too.
I can make calls and send/receive texts with Textnow. But when someone calls me, my phone does not do anything to let me know there's an incoming call. The caller will hear a few rings then hear "the person is not available, please leave a message." After that, I would see a "Miss Call" alert in my Textnow app. How to fix this? Is there some kind of setting I need to do in the Textnow APP for my phone to ring, vibrate or do something to let me know when a call is coming in?

Hello Justin! Bad news is that TextNow does not currently support esim. Good news is there working in it. So, right now your option would be to use the TextNow app without the sim (over WiFi or data from another carrier). Sorry.

Hello TCBElvis! Good question. I don't see a date either, and I've noticed that before, but I didn't have to look into it at that time. Let me investigate further. Hopefully that's not just an oversight in the app.
It's so distracting when folks go off like Robots in endless sentences without breathing. I was literally feeling claustrophobic just listening to how it comes across as one endless sentence. Hello Jessica! I'll have to check on Whatsapp. If you are texting from iMessage to a TextNow number then delete the conversation in iMessage, I believe that the conversation would still exist in TextNow.

Hello Beehot! I'm not sure what country you're in but you could use TextNow over wifi in lots of regions. The sim is only for the US at the moment. Textfree is basically US and Canada only.

Now what I do is every morning I called my FREE weather forecast number line to get my news and forcast for FREE when calling in the line daily I know my number is safe. Keep up with the videos bro

Hello Frankieboy! I'm not sure what you mean, but they provide a new phone number for you to use. That number is displayed when someone receives a message from you using TextNow's app. This is true for both the free app and with any paid TextNow service.

@@phonecomp talkatone is actually pretty good for phone calls, but they will lock your account if send too many text messages. They will lock you out of your account for weeks for sending too many texts.

Text free gives you an actual wireless number while textnow gives you a VOIP/landline which you cannot use for real services. I don't know how textnow has a sim service and textfree doesn't 😭
Hello Tiffany! Yes, both are free if you only want to use the apps over wifi. TextNow has paid plans which usually include a sin card so you can use the app like a typical wireless plan. You can also use the TextNow nationwide talk and text plan for free after buying the sim.
I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time with Text Free! Thanks for letting me know. I definitely had problems with call quality as well-it was very dependent on the strength of my Wifi. TextNow typically does a better job. I have a new TextNow sim I've been living with for an updated review and at least the service seems pretty much unchanged since last time.
