How do you blend it? With a cloth, a sponge or a gum eraser / stencil?

Depending on my needs, I blend oil pastels with my fingers, blending stumps, or kitchen towels. Most of time, oil pastels blend well with one another. 🙂

I used the Caran dache’s Neopastel for this drawing. Yes, they are very pigmented and the texture is nice to use! I highly recommend it! 😊💓🙏🏻

When I blend the oil pastels the colour just comes off the paper what should I do , I tried all the methods

In general, artist-grade oil pastels blend more seamlessly than their student-grade counterparts. When blending tools fall short, I prefer using my fingers, as their warmth softens the pastels, facilitating a smoother blend. While I personally refrain from using solvents for oil pastels, I acknowledge that some artists employ them to achieve similar effects. 🙏🏻

Are you referring to the oil pastels smudging the pencil drawing underneath? If so, I am using a red/brown colored pencil so it blends well with the oil pastels. 😊🙏🏻
