Was actually 3 huge comebacks in the game following three big BYU runs. UCF won most every stat in the game, too. UCF depth kept them fresh throughout the high-altitude game. Next year, the Big 12 will have 3 mile-high venues!
Pope had a good point in the postgame. He said UCF had a comeback effort at the end of the game so unbeleivable that will never happen again, and yet BYU still won the game. BYU did what they had to do to win last night.
There were 24 points scored in the final 60 seconds of the game. 15 for UCF, 9 for BYU. I know this could never happen, but hypothetically if there were 24 points scored every minute for a full 40 minute game, there would be 960 points scored in one game!!!
That was close against a great team, UCF. They are good at football and basketball. Hard to match up against the teams natural athleticism. Nice win, but I'm sure you learned something.
This was a good game for BYU, they got lucky. They were not expecting to shoot 46 foul shots going into the game. BYU showed some metal thought against what amounted to a perfect final 3 minutes for UCF. UCF has to be pleased.
Byu got lucky? I'd say UCF was lucky all those shots fell at the end. BYU had a 90% free throw shooter at line every possession at the end and he shot his average. UCF was lucky to get that close!
UCF scored 62 points in the 2nd half and 15 in the last minute. Last score by Allen on the step back, clearly showed his foot wasn't on the line and had been ruled a 3 on the floor, yet still overruled it????? Knights still rose in the BPI rankings into the top 50 due to the score. May get revenge chance in the conference tourney.
UCF deserved to win this game, in my opinion. They out hustled BYU. Their defense broke down the Y. Their full court press clamped down. BYU collapsed under that defensive pressure. UCF coach should set up more 3 point shooting plays for Machowski. BYU's 3 point plays were the difference. To be specific, Jaxson Robinson's 3's made the difference. BYU squeaked this one out. BYU has a terrible habit of getting up on it's opponent and collapsing in the second half. They really need to practice against a full court press. In any case, a win is a win...but I feel for the UCF players. That's a long plane ride home for them.
🤣 Why didn't BYU "deserve" the win? BYU played the full 40 minutes. UCF only played 36 minutes (they went scoreless the first 4 minutes of the game), so BYU actually "deserved" the win. (To deserve ANY win is silly, really. You gotta EARN wins, which BYU did vs UCF.)
Well the next two games are for sure losses. And that should end their dream of a Big Dance invite. There's always the NIT...the Not Important Tournament
Gotta match the intensity. Figure out the press. Should have never been close but let them back in with turnovers. Looks like UCF shot out of their minds in the 2nd half. W is a w.
That's a lot of points scored in one minute
Astounding three point shooting percentage for UCF in the last minute! Really prefer this version of highlights for both teams. Good editing!
Way to go BYU!! Keep on winning!!
WOW! Furious rally at the end there
Impressive final minute from UCF, almost completed the comeback!

Man, that was some hustle at the end there by UCF.

BYU blew up a comfortable lead-UCF came to play. Good to see some competitive games. In the end, it is tough to win in the Big 12 so win is a win.
wow i was not thinking it would be that close

It"s weird how BYU does so good defencivly against these teams in the first half but in the second half their defence slips.
That could have been one of best combacks ever haha
Two games now where BYU has wilted in the second half yet pulled out the W. Can’t keep living like this.

wheels came off at the end there!
Yep whew.
Jason "Hall" Williams!😅
BYU has a big big problem with fading fast late in the game. That's a coaching issue.
w game
WHEW! 😅

And THANK YOU for full highlights!!

Because they went full GOD Mode in the last minute and a half?

Are you talking about UCF?
Yeah this BYU team is going to be a real heart breaker for the fans again.
Ah This is big 12 basketball
