This guy is out here being the CBA MVP, winning Greek championships and still never really getting a chance to shine. ANY athlete can learn to play defense. And frankly how many great defensive guards can you name in todays game? The truth is at the NBA level help defense is key and fighting through pick and rolls . Fredette has more strength than ANY guard in the draft. He is as quick as any of them and might be the best scorer on the planet.
He needs the right team. Not just Coach Smart. Everyone keeps blaming him, but Smart is put in a terrible situation by the GM who keeps going after a guard in trades/singings.
