I am always a guy that goes against the stream...so i like LDDM but my favorites are lonestar memories & incense extreme... that being said sundowner sounds like something i would enjoy... cheers🍻
I've never tried this but I will. My favorite tobacco fragrance by a long shot is Montecristo from Masque Milano. Fabulous smell of fresh, rolled tobacco leaves from a tobacco farm. Just gorgeous. For those of you from North Carolina, you know what I mean.
Your enthusiasm for this fragrance is contagious! Love Sundowner. Perfect scent for the fall/winter and is totally unisex. Cinnamon and tobacco are definitely the dominant notes, but does sway slightly gourmand with cacao undertones. In my top three, together with LDDM and ACDD. Cristina from Pennsylvania.

Completely agree with your take on Sundowner. The cinnamon, tobacco, and cacao, are very present from start to finish, with the vanilla, tonka, & sandalwood lightly coming in during the dry down to balance it out. This is a great tobacco fragrance, absolutely love it, and will get plenty of wear this season. LDDM still my favorite though…at least for now.
I smelled it, by the time I was done with dinner down the street from my local fragrance shop, it was closed. I went back the next day to buy it. I'd still love to win the samples as I'd give sundowner away and keep then others.

Michigan here. LADDM is my favorite for sure, and did not like PB either. I’ve tried a sample of Sundowner and really liked it so far. It’s a little too beastly for me - a little goes a long long way. Also not completely convinced by the drydown yet but I may well get a full bottle. The tobacco note is spot on.

Great review! I purchased LDDM just this past September from Lucky Scent NYC -- it was love at first sniff! For an edt concentration I feel like this is pretty powerful -- lasts a full work day on me. I know that I'll have to purchase another Tauer fragrance at some point bc based just on LDDM, I'm sold. I'm curious about Sundowner now too though I'd also like to try Orange Star and Au Couer. I'm from NYC Queens. Cheers!
Never sampled Sundowner and the notes of Tobacco and Cinnamon are my favorite, especially a rougher Tobacco. I do own L'AIR DU DÉSERT MAROCAIN and love the scent, but not the longevity. I really like Sundowner, I got an early sample and your opinion is similar to mine and I found it confirming, it is dark in an old school way without going too far. (I am curious about incense rose from Andy. I am a rose fan like you and really enjoying Rose de tiaf extrait by PMC lately and thank you for pointing it out recently...and I really love it with a little Cuir de Russie from Anna Z in another spot combined together....sundowner kind of scratches the same itch with a tobacco bloom. I dig it. I am in VA. Looking fwd to your Tauer reviews. I like Lonestar quite a bit but it might be too much in polite company. I Like your work.
Just received a sample of Sundowner from Perfumology in Philadelphia! I adore Sundowner. Will be getting a bottle when able. Initially, esspecially in the store, wasn’t so sure about it , but I kept using the sample and very quickly fell in love with each application! I have received compliments galore. Not super long lasting, but I don’t care since I just love it. No citrus to my nose, just spice and rose. When I purchase a full bottle, it will be my first foray into Tauer perfumes.
I've tried just one Tauer fragrance release and it is "02 L'Air du Desert Marocain", which I do enjoy. I'm very interested in trying "Sundowner". I am intrigued to try this fragrance for different reasons, e.g. I can like tobacco fragrances, and it's said to be a syrupy fragrance with warm spices and amber. I live in MD., U.S.A. There is a boutique in my city that carries the whole line of Tauer perfumes. I was able to smell this one and from the blotter, it didn't strike me but I will grab a free sample next time I go to the shop so I can see how it works on my skin. I am in Montreal, Canada but I do have a mailing address in the USA but since I am able to get free samples of this, I don't need to be entered in the giveaway. Well, here are my thoughts. I’ve never owned a Tauer fragrance, but I’ve flirted with the house many times. I feel like they maybe they intimidate me a little bit, I don’t honestly know why I’ve never tried one. That being said, I really do value your reviews, even if I don’t agree with all of them I think you’re honest and transparent and if the notes interest me and you give it a pass, then I tend to add it to the list of things I need to try. The notes on this interest me immensely. So, there’s my thoughts, I’m live in Indiana (from Florida though), and your shirts are spectacular. Win or lose, keep up the good work and stay real.

I have yet to try any Tauer fragrances, but have been intrigued by a couple of their biggest hits such as LDDM / ACDD. I'm only a bout 7 months into my fragrance journey and have found so far that I'm a big fan of warm, sweet and dark scents. (Interlude Black Iris, Red Tobacco, and Grand Soir are a few I have recently tried and absolutely love.) I would love to get my nose on this while we still have our relatively short-lived cold months here in the coastal plains of eastern North Carolina.
Haven't tried Sundowner yet but would LOVE to.... I do love "Mancera's Intensitive Aoud Gold" and Sundowner sounds similar to it. Fingers crossed to try it soon!! 🤞🤞🤞

This one sounds amazing! I've been curious about it since I first heard of it and now so even more since your review. LDDM is my favorite from the house so far but I'll look forward to trying this one to see if it supplants LDDM. As far as Phtaloblue, I actually like it a lot in specific settings. Good afternoon Sebastian! I’ve been waiting for this video and curious to hear your opinion. When I received an email from Tauer in regards to this new launch, I was very excited. I love amber and tobacco fragrances; sounds just up my alley. Nonetheless, I wanting to hold off on blind buying and wait for something to convince me. Well I think this video did just that. I only have two fragrances from Tauer, Au coeur du desert and Phi une rose de Kandahar and I love them both.

GORGEOUS smell. Reminded me of what a Sun Flower center smells like? Earthy in all the right ways. I don't see how this would be "Must Buy" but for the right person this is a signature scent. Happy to see you feature the fragrance. You're the best, Seb!

My favorite Tauer's are L'Oudh, LdDM, Cologne du Magrheb, ACdDM, Patchouli Flash, Incense Extreme. I purchased Sundowner and can wait to try it in Yaounde when I am home for the holidays.

There is a boutique in my city that carries the whole line of Tauer perfumes. I was able to smell this one and from the blotter, it didn't strike me but I will grab a free sample next time I go to the shop so I can see how it works on my skin. I am in Montreal, Canada but I do have a mailing address in the USA but since I am able to get free samples of this, I don't need to be entered in the giveaway. Well, here are my thoughts. I’ve never owned a Tauer fragrance, but I’ve flirted with the house many times. I feel like they maybe they intimidate me a little bit, I don’t honestly know why I’ve never tried one. That being said, I really do value your reviews, even if I don’t agree with all of them I think you’re honest and transparent and if the notes interest me and you give it a pass, then I tend to add it to the list of things I need to try. The notes on this interest me immensely. So, there’s my thoughts, I’m live in Indiana (from Florida though), and your shirts are spectacular. Win or lose, keep up the good work and stay real.

Yay I love Antonia and Tigerlily! Had the best experience with them ever. I wish I lived in SF so I could go all the time! I actually really love Orange Star by Tauer, I rarely see it discussed but I'm sure you covered it at least once or twice.

I have yet to try any Tauer fragrances, but have been intrigued by a couple of their biggest hits such as LDDM / ACDD. I'm only a bout 7 months into my fragrance journey and have found so far that I'm a big fan of warm, sweet and dark scents. (Interlude Black Iris, Red Tobacco, and Grand Soir are a few I have recently tried and absolutely love.) I would love to get my nose on this while we still have our relatively short-lived cold months here in the coastal plains of eastern North Carolina.
Haven't tried Sundowner yet but would LOVE to.... I do love "Mancera's Intensitive Aoud Gold" and Sundowner sounds similar to it. Fingers crossed to try it soon!! 🤞🤞🤞

I’m relatively new to niche perfumery and haven’t tested any Tauer fragrances! I’ve heard wonderful things and have heard about the “Tauer DNA”. I’ve been looking forward to getting a decant of the desert fragrances. The description of this one sounds enticing! I love tobacco and spices. Make it a little animatic and I’m even more excited!

This one sounds amazing! I've been curious about it since I first heard of it and now so even more since your review. LDDM is my favorite from the house so far but I'll look forward to trying this one to see if it supplants LDDM.
As far as Phtaloblue, I actually like it a lot in specific settings. I wore it my sample of it one morning while collecting sea shells on vacation and it was absolutely perfect.

I’ve been waiting for this video and curious to hear your opinion. When I received an email from Tauer in regards to this new launch, I was very excited. I love amber and tobacco fragrances; sounds just up my alley. Nonetheless, I wanting to hold off on blind buying and wait for something to convince me. Well I think this video did just that. I only have two fragrances from Tauer, Au coeur du desert and Phi une rose de Kandahar and I love them both.
As a lover of tobacco fragrances, i cant wait to sample this one, and look more into this house as well. From the Bay Area too 👍🏽👍🏽

I've only tried one Tauer scent and that's L'air du desert marocain and it is my favorite fragrance in my collection. love the idea of a scent with the same DNA but gooey. Got a sample and it definitely reminded me of Tauers amber DNA which I love. It’s a rough rugged beast, not something I usually wear but still beautiful none the less. I think you described it very well. Lair du desert marocain is my favorite from my house and I’m from MN.

Not a dupe in the slightest, but the tobacco in Sun Downer reminds me so much of the tobacco used in Un Air d’Apogee by Maison Violet which is a favorite of mine. I will be picking up a bottle ASAP!

I love tobacco scents, but the cinnamon note is definitely interesting! Spices tend to be prominent on my skin, I find. I've never tried a Tauer fragrance, but I've wanted to try Rose Flash from the Tauerville line. Sending love from Florida.
