I got one fact for you, you might (might not) know this but Cryo character's skill are pretty unique. We all know that if a Characters Elemental Burst is Fully charge they will show some aura that fit their Vision. Like for Pyro, their Burst will show this red aura and burning animation. But for Cryo, it's pretty unique. When A Cryo characters Burst fully charged it will exhibit some light blue aura and a snowflake effect. But the Snowflake isn't actually real. The snowflake was consist by 6 Gnosis. If you look closely you can see Venti and Zhongli Gnosis. I think this is some kind of Foreshadowing that Tsaritsa will succeed to get all of the gnosis...
I love the dynamic of Fischl and Bennet being friends, they both had difficult childhoods, one rejected by everyone because they thought she was weird, the other rejected because of his bad luck. Both of them becoming friends is almost poetic.

Shenhe’s was pretty sad, because her father pretty much called her a cursed child, and blamed her for her mother’s death, and ditched her just to die so his wife could come back. That’s by far horrible.
To be honest shenhe was indeed a very bad luck child, even if his parents still exist and she got a family that loves him, her homicidal urge is something that can't be stop, only grew larger when she got older
Ironically, it was through this arduous and cruel part of life that shenhe became what we know now, who knows what menace she can brought to Tevyat if she grow uncontrolled

One thing I noticed about liyue is it has several abandoned buildings or small villages. Never thought they would have sad origins as well as being where a couple of the tragic characters originated.
Not just buildings but also abandoned ruins. Remnant of the past archon war. Imagine the lost civilization and people during that time.

I think the reason mondtadt doesn't have such villages is cuz in lore old mondstadt (presently storm terror's lair) had everyone trapped in there and outside there was a blizzard caused by the wolf of the north and when the overthrew the tyrant they all moved to preset day mondstadt and Springvale

I haven't read all of the character's stories, but I think Fischl's is a little sadder than you made it to be. The whole thing with her parents who praised her princess persona when Fischl was young just to tell her to grow up when she got older must have been devastating for Fischl. One can say that, sure, she had to grow up at some point, but she was still friendless and still missed her distant parents when they told her that. It was after that that Oz appeared for her, after she spent the night crying.
Her parents don’t tell her to grow up. They are very caring and love her. You can even hear her dad telling her that breakfast is ready in one of her trailers.

@@electricbacon2357 actually in her provided by game background they did tell to grow up so I think that just means they don't really accept her as she is but aren't going to throw her out onto the streets to fend for herself.

Diluc's past was also painful. It began with his father's death, the reveal that Kaeya, his brother and childhood friend, was a spy leading to them fighting, and then the higher ups trying to cover up his father's death. All of that came crashing down on him within a painfully short time.

Considering Beidou's backstory, I think Bennett and her will get along. Same with Sucrose and Fishcl, both of them have love for fairytales and is hoping for a happy ending.

I had read Beidou's background stoty on her profile. None of them mentions her childhood past. Until you play her Hang-out quest.

i actually feel pretty bad for diona. i can relate to her story of being tired of her own drunk dad and saving him again and again, although, in my life the mother was that figure. and that’s why i hate alcohol and even promised to myself that i will never ever have a taste of it lmao

Objectively speaking, Diona's dad wasn't " bad" or abusive, he was Daff, the hunter at springvale, the greates hunter at springvale at the time, and from diona's story, she very much loves his dad, just not when he's drunk

there are many questions about him like "who are his parents, where does he come from" and also WHERE THE HECK DOES HIS BAD LUCK COME FROM ? the gods trying to kill him but fail miserably ? we won't know.
We didn't get a lot of infos on his character story and in events we only learn like that he talks during sleep... But then for some characters they say a lot and reveals all their lore in events

I wanna know, if there really are survivors from Khaenri'ah that are still human....wtf were they thinking sending a little boy alone with the weight of a nation to carry on his shoulders? I can't stop crying when read Kaeya's story:
"This is your chance. You are our last hope."
Kaeya's father squeezed his son's lean shoulders as he spoke, seemingly looking right through Kaeya to some place far beyond.
On the other side of the horizon sat their distant homeland of Khaenri'ah.
Kaeya would never forget the look of both hope and hatred in his father's eyes as he uttered those words.
He left by his father, now his father is unknown, he adopted by crepus. But, you know, crepus dead in front of kaeya's eyes. And Diluc, Kaeya's big brother was change.
He lost his biological father, adopted father, his brother, his homeland.
Seriously, i can't stop crying😭😭
Kaeya's story is a little bit similar as Shenhe's (in my opinion). But the different is, Cloud rentainer and ganyu is still alive,. They did'nt dead or change like Crepus and Diluc.
(Spoilers) Contrary to the popular belief, Ganyu never met Shenhe at all until Lantern Rite.
Another reason Kaeya's story is shorter than the other characters is because we still don't know everything about Khaenri'ah. We don't know about it's lore or anything really. I feel like once we get more info on Dein, we'll probably get more info on Kaeya as well
His past is painful the first time I read it.
When you’re being ‘forced’ to choose between two sides, you kinda be afraid to take either chances on making that ‘big’ decision, because as soon as you start to choose, there’s no turning back. Your brain explains logic but your heart tells you otherwise.

There's a positive aspect to benny that i noticed, it's true that he does have general bad luck, but at the same time he's also kind of lucky in the outcome? Abandoned as a baby? He gets adopted by multiple dads and is raised well in a loving environment; Nearly dies for real? He not only gets miraculously saved but he also gets a vision that lets him heal himself and others; People outright avoid him and blame him for all the bad luck they get? He still manages to get genuine friends (Traveler, Razor & Fischl) and people who care and worry for his wellbeing (that cutscene in the recent Dragonspine event where everyone offered to share their luck with him was so wholesome); He gets hurt and/or captured but so far never to the point where he nearly dies because there always seems to be a kind of lucky interference, like somebody saving him, et cetera. With how much bad luck bennett recieves, he seems to get good things in exchange
Mans minmaxing Luck. He life sucks but will never be outright killed. He will always slip, break his items but never get permanent damage. Mans will have the worse luck on most adventures but when the stakes are high his luck goes in overdrive. IE the Dragonspine event for exampe.

From the parents perspective of Xinyan they grew up in a poor upbringing which is why they wanted Xinyan to have a successful life and become a phoenix. They don't want her to suffer but Xinyan never wanted that. I really like how she doesn't follow the typical gender norms and does what she feels is rock n roll. Also, for the cooking part, she can actually cook.
Welcome to side of Genshin Impact canon.. Every character sure does have tragic/sad/painful childhood or past self. Even i didnt expect about Sucrose or Itto for included here, when it comes to the serious plot of the game or neither the story, you know there's probably something behind it with a sad or tragic reasons.
Diluc and Kaeya have one of the saddest backstories as of today.
They both Lost their Fathers, Kaeya having lost two. Diluc lost his brother, and Kaeya the same.
I think the only reason why I feel more bad for Kaeya is because of his involvement with khaenriah. Imagine keeping such a dark secret as a kid, being abandoned by your dad and left with a huge responsibility in a place you aren't familiar with. Imagine how crappy you'd feel about yourself knowing each day, you're somewhat "betraying" the family you love and once you tell your brother your secret, he proceeds to almost kill you.
That's gotta suck.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but Childe wasn't a "regular" guy, he ran away from his home at 14 because his normal life was too boring and then he fell into abyss.

Itto could've easily went berserker and taken revenge but he's the friendly and energetic Oni we all know and love.
i feel like a lot of people don't pay attention to kaeya's backstory that much, his was heartbreaking to think about (at least for me)
To think that I'd share some pain with Xinyan. My dad, to this date, still sees my actions with prejudice. Sure, I was kinda laid back in school but I managed to keep up with my studies regardless, but my big sis was pretty much the ideal child so that contrast made it hard for me to live. Even now, I'm not entirely happy being by his side. Ironic, ain't it?
Considering bennett's birthday is 29/2, we can say that his bad luck exist since he wasnt even born.

You miss razor. I mean, even sucrose and fischl story are "normal thing" for kids today (many kid in real life have similar story). But razor's story, raised by animal, is more tragic and highly rare in real life

Razor got kidnapped by an abyss mage and had to watch his whole wolf family die protecting him, then when he killed it it was too late
Beidou naming her ship Alcor could symbolise her owning up to her cursed name. No longer will she let assumptions decide what people think of her or what she thinks of people. In her eyes, it is the actions of the person that speak for who they are.
Bennet definitely use his entire live luck to make him alive right now, and also the best support in Genshin.

Qiqi is probably the saddest to me. She died as a child only to be cursed with bad memory living forever and even stretching all the time to stop her body from getting stuck from rigor mortis.
She constantly has to live with the knowledge that almost everyone around her will leave her when they die. She also has to spend her time with them also knowing the fact that she will one day forget them forever.

Didn't Childe already consider his home life to be too dull and boring so he ran away and then fell into the Abyss? I think his love for the thrill of battle is his true desire. Hydro visions are given to characters who don't feel good enough while having an intense ambition to fulfil their desires. Childe purposely fights with a bow because he knows he sucks at using a bow, so fighting with one provides him with a thrilling challenge since he otherwise easily wins his fights.

Diluc childhood probably fills with happiness, his tragic incident happened when he was a teenager, probably 18 or more years old when he was a Chivalry Captain of Knight of Favonius.

My picks for saddest backstory would be either Zhongli or Xiao ig...if i have to pick one. Probably Zhongli
He lived for 6 Millenia's. Killed countless gods in the Archon War. He was just a killing machine until he met Guizhong. Both founded a country together. They seem really close. Until that one eventful day where she dies in the arms of Morax. All she left for him was the artifact known as "Memory of Dust." Where he tried and tried to unlock it but to no avail. He to had the burdens of regret. On his Archon Quest, he wished to meet Osial as a friend instead of a foe. But, as we all know. He was killed or Defeated on Chapter 1. Azhdaha was also his good friend. And yet, corruption got to him. Zhongli was forced to seal his friend again. And after Chapter 2. Well, the remains of Azhdaha is now gone. As he lost another one he deemed as his good friend at heart. Their reconciling is also a short notice. In the end, Azhdaha didn't die as a friend only but as a foe as well.
For Xiao...lore wise ofc, he was a Slave. An Adepti slave. Until Morax saves him. For Millenia's he served Rex Lapis, he see as his friends succumbs to the dark pits of corruptions. As 3 gets corrupted and dies. And one disappears without a trace. For eons he slaughtered demons without stopping. He never really felt joy until us player came. He probably barely sleeps as because he is an adepti. And the reoccuring dark memories of his past keeps resurfacing. To severe any bonds so no evil shall stain your beloved's. That was his moto like.
Anyways just my opinion. I still like the list!
Even the one and oni Itto had a sad childhood
Perhaps it’s just me but I don’t necessarily find Qiqi’s sad. It’s one of those where in theory it’s sad but if she can’t remember any of it then I guess I don’t necessarily feel bad because if there is nothing to remember there is nothing to lose. What I find more sad is her present day lack of memory, that she can’t recall anyone not even those who care for her.
From the lore, she has problem with memory because of the traumatic event that killed her.
But she does remember somewhat, she has a literal fear of ever experiencing what happened to her a second time (both dying and being sealed away), which isn't good when Hu tap tried to bury her (especially considering that Hu Tao would have succeeded if it wasn't for Baizhu.) Not to mention that she doesn't want to forget her friends but eventually will which is sad in itself. The only positive part about her backstory is that she now lives in the present and also is probably immune to erosion due to constant memory loss.
Fischl's was kinda sad, i never expected it to be that sad 🙁🙁

All pyro characters are cheery, energetic and extremely optimistic personality except for Diluc. The idea was, before the Death of his father. he was that kid that resembled a pyro vision holder. Cheery, energetic and extremely optimistic. Him ending up a pyro vision holder probably means that even all the Batman-esque personality that he is, he is still that kind of person in some shape or form. He just also happens to be batman and only do it very rarely.

Rosaria's story got me good. Parents killed by bandits, bandits take her in as a literal servant/slave. She has to kill the leader (father figure who killed her actual father) to get to have some sorta independence to come and go while also getting a vision. Then the knights killed the bandits so y'know that trauma. Then the knights of favonius, wow yeah same ones that just killed the bandits tell her. 'hey come to the church so we can help you not be a bandit and get killed like them'

I'm sorry guys if this not related to this Video but, @Gnik you might know ( or might not) know. Am i the only one who just realize this? So everybody knows that our playable character has this aura on their Elemental Burst when they are fully charged right?..(Like for pyro character their Burst has this burning animation effect, and for hydro they have this ripple and dripping animation for their burst). But, something a lil bit different for Cryo character.When a cryo character Elemental Burst is fully charge, they emit this Light blue aura along with Snowflake animation. The weird thing is, its not a snowflake. Its Six GNOSIS that being put to look like snowflake. You can even see Venti and Zhongli gnosis right there. A way to prove this is just by simply look closely at Your Cryo Character Burst when its Fully Charge. I think this is a Foreshadowing that Tsaritsa got all of the GNOSIS.....@Gnik it will be cool if you can prove this on you next video.....
