  • Having already own a 1970 Dodge Challenger convertible by Greenlight Collectibles (3 minute review is up in the channel), I figured I would also get a 1971 convertible as well as a coupe. So this review is focusing on the 1971 convertible but I will probably do a showcase on another variant I got.
The price was right so I bit. And knowing Greenlight produce decent models it was easier to add this one to my collection. :)

The door/trunk/hood gaps are really impressive on this car, they’re better aligned than some you see on higher end cars.

Yeah, gaps are very decent and the paint job overall is nice as well. It's a nice Mopar with a few quality mishaps but overall it's definitely an upgrade over older Ertl offerings. Thanks for watching! 💪🏽😊

Very Nice car. 71 is one of the best years for Mopar IMO. Great unboxing video 😊👍

Agree!! My favorites (Duster/Demon) were kick-ass that year, same for the Cuda, Roadrunner, GTX, Charger, Challenger heck even the B-Vans lol. Thanks for watching bud! 💪🏽😊

Nice, i have the Greenlight Mod Squad all red '70 challenger. These Greenlight cars are nicer than the Road Legends from the 90s. i have some Road Legends Deluxe Editions too with better detail. Sun Star was a nice brand too.

Oh definitely. They are an upgrade over Ertl and everything in the early 2000s with the exception of the Highway 61 models of course. I've seen the red one and it looks very good as well.

Im totally disappointed in this model , the car in the TV series was fitted with a 72 front ' sad mouth' grille and a 72 rear panel and lights ....the only thing this model has in common with the TV car is the color......surely someone in Greenlight management new about this before releasing the model to the public. .......its just aint SOLID.....im sorry..

Yeah. I think I mentioned that in the beginning. Even though the TV car had 72 components, GL just ignored this fact! It's not the first time they have done that either. They take their liberties instead of doing some retooling. 🤷🏽‍♂️ But overall for the price though (and I've seen it on sale aa few times) it's not bad. Not Acme good, but not Ertl old. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

this model is awful dents marks and the paint is terrible strips are so badly done ..should have inspected this model more closely ...very very bad

I don't believe it's THAT bad but definitely not perfect. Greenlight always messes up something, especially lately. This one is an upgrade over older Ertl models in my opinion but yeah, at lower prices these are decent for the collection. But finishing/paint is def not Greenlight's strongest suit. Thanks for the comment!
