    I want to thank you ladies for adding this content. I'm not a Jamaican but there are so many Jamaicans here in Thd Bronx, NY where I'm from. I became introduced to Jamaican culture by becoming an avid fan of ska music, & all of the other genres that followed until the present-day style of reggae. Watching your content helps to teach me what it's really like to live there. My next step will be to go there someday. Everyone around here is encouraging me to do so.

    I'm sure that whenever I get back to Jamaica (must be 23 years now!) I will cry too! And clap! Just showing this video to some J.A. friends while I'm in Toronto visiting - the 93 year mom spent a day at your old farm property when she was in high school (about 80 years ago!!!). She commented on what a beautiful property it was. I was going to show her your video of the property tour but I can only find the short. She is dying to remember the name of the property... can you tell me? Hope all is well with you and you're keeping cool today. Happy Labour Day! (Okay, an edit... the 93-y.o. just called her 89 y.o. sister, and they couldn't remember, so the 89 y.o. asked her 97 y.o. husband, whose has dementia, and HE came up with the name "Carlton." Is he right? LOL!!!)

    Thank you ever so much Country White for producing this video in conjunction with Koren. I have not come across her before. I commend you for the subject matter. Yuh have to tark as you see! Thanks for giving us an incite into how white Jamaicans are treated differently. Your temperment is also different. As a non-Jamaican of Caribbean descent there is a lot of similarities with other islands i.e no customer service! I even remember the bank opening late in St Kitts 😂 Well done for tackling the emotive subject of Crime. I have never come across a loud, bummie white Jamaican yet😂 Looking forward to you collaborating with Koren some more. Lovely to see your TH-cam chanel going from strength to strength. Peace & love 🇬🇧

    Good morning, ladies. Happy Friday 😊. You are speaking the truth. I agree with you regarding the crimes. Per capita, Jamaica 🇯🇲 has more crimes. I came to Canada 🇨🇦 50 years ago. Well. This September will make 51 years. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful and blessed day and a great weekend. ❤❤

    I love this. When I first migrated and ppl would ask me what I missed about Jamaica I'd tell them that it was easier to tell them what i don't miss because there were so many things I miss. 1. I don't miss the poor customer service 2. I don't miss the super aggressive approach from Jamaican men. After many years I still feel the same way. I miss Jamaica and I get physically sick if I take too long to visit.

    I drove once in Jamaica after migrating. I was comfortable on the coast but after leaving the coast everyone was honking at me continuously for driving too slow.

    Yes we have good & bad everywhere in the world, but regardless of any negatives of Jamaica, Jamaica is still a cool country of good vibes, peace, love & understanding. My only regret is that i was not born in Jamaica, but raised in jamaican style in the UK, my family is from the Windrush generation. Been to Jamaica 5 times since 1993 to 2017. To me you don't know what Jamaica is till you've been there, pure vibes, niceness & sweet humbleness. God Bless Jamaica.

    You are both speaking the truth and as you said , nowhere is perfect. As to being treated like a tourist, it happens to me in Negril too lol...until I speak😂. My husband is French Canadian but loves Jamaica and has been there over 30 plus times. Now in Negril they say he is now a Yardie😂
    The customer service in the Jamaican banks is the WORST!! NO common sense and no respect for people's time

    I really enjoy watching your program but I honestly didn’t enjoy your friend’s comments so much. What does she mean her kids don’t speak Jamaican? They weren’t even born in Canada and you speak patois perfectly so I’m sure they totally understand our native language. I moved to Canada at age nine and my born Canadian 27 year old daughter understands patois perfectly. The vibe today was just off for me, sorry!🫣

    Guess you don’t live in real cities with “real”crime in Canada, can be worse than Jamaica or USA . Culture is very different . What about racism? Need to speak about that.

    • @CountryWhiteJamaican
      @CountryWhiteJamaican  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have addressed racism in another video, but more that I didn't experience it in Jamaica. I have definitely noticed it here in Canada because my kids are mixed. It is so sad, honestly. Senseless, we are all one people.
