Great van build! I ran my Mr. Buddy heater all night long and never had a problem with carbon monoxide. I kept my Fantastic Fan vent open slightly without running the fan at all. Carbon monoxide settles down close to the floor at first. You should mount your carbon monoxide detector a few inches above the floor for earliest detection.

with something decent to start with its not all that pricey to build a custom rig w surplus materials from t stores ,garage sales yunk yards +dumpster diving even. i put more than a few of em together with little$.just some patience creativity+a little imagination. pre 95 chevy or GMC is the way to go.
Excellent video AND van! I wish my G30 was a 95! I love the quadrajet carb but having a 4l80e would help my gas mileage a lot. You should have the 4l60e which is still pretty good so long as you’re not hot rodding that engine out. I’m extremely conflicted on what to do engine wise, rebuild my 350 when time comes with vortec heads dual plane intake and a good cam etc,, bore it and build a 355, or even 383, or throw in an LS and if LS do i go cheap 4.8, or 5.3 or save up and get the good 6.0l. As ot is now this van hauls ass and I’m afraid with the 5.3 and 4.8 I might lose power below 3k rpms where i usually live. If i could find a sbc 400, forget about it…. Rant over. Love chevy vans lol
If you want fuel efficiency don’t get a 6.0. Suckers get 13-15mpg on the freeway or hauling 10k pounds.

@@IsaacTurnerMusic We just got a similar van and are going to start doing renovations soon! Did you do everything yourself or did you have help with the installation of the carbon monoxide detector and electric? We're making a list of things we will need outside help with and I'm thinking the electric will be one.
@@beccamerek6931 We did everything ourselves and learned a lot in the process. I used a guide called the gnomad home you can google that helped tremendously during both my builds. I have a short bus now. Feel to reach out with any questions either here or my instagram @isaacturnerit or @skooliana

Our '94 gets 18mpg on good highway but we have a G10 so its a V-6....and TBI.

I have a 95 just like yours, but mine has barn doors instead that slider.. However, I can say this, yours doesn't have near what I have in it. If you do, start gathering more, the rear differential will not handle to much more. The G30 can..
