This coaster would be A+ if it had a better harness. This one bangs your head a bit. With that being said, it's one of the most unique rides I've ever been on.
This is why I don't like this one. My head bangs around.
Facts but it’s one of my favorite
I don’t like this one bc of the head banging but I ❤ the coaster
Yeah it could really help if we had vest harnesses
First time i went on a upside down going roller coaster after 12 YEARS of a fear of upside down,WI never forget this for that milestone.
👍
My 8 years old’s first coaster ever. Big bear was temporarily closed so we went to this one. She shouted “I did it!” right after the last little bit. Thanks for posting.
Our pleasure!
Looks like a blast! Those final corkscrew turns were pretty wild!
It's always fun to watch people on walking by Rob!
That is a fun underrated ride at the park. Nothing at all like I expected it to be. Cannot wait to get to ride it again one day.
👍
Just rode this for the first time today and loved it!!! Between this one and Blazing Fury the park really has some interesting and unique coaster experiences.
They sure do! Did you get a chance to ride Big Bear as well?
@@AdventureIsOutThere yes! Big bear was amazing. It had almost no wait all day!
This is one of only a few rides at non-Disney/Universal parks, along with Verbolten at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, that looks like a full-on dark ride coaster experience. Can't wait to ride it.
Hopefully you get a chance to ride Mystery Mine roller coaster next time you go to Dollywood Raymond!
I can tell u for sure that its a wonderful ride, and really gets the adrenaline going! (at least for me)
Totes recommend
Don’t miss blazing fury at Dollywood too! It is a truly unique dark ride coaster experience as well.
I have ridden Mystery Mine coaster a few times and I love it. The theming is cool. It's a definite to do whenever we come to Dollywood.
Mystery Mine roller coaster is loved by many who come to Dollywood TCD!
Awesome video ; I’ve rode this before . Thanks ; keep the videos coming . 😊
Thanks Nancy! I have lots more ride videos scheduled out & adventures planned here in The Smokies & beyond!
I did this and I didn't know that some of it was inside. The straight up part right before the second big drop in complete darkness was terrifying because I didn't know it was coming and I couldn't see anything. When it started with a big drop I knew it was going to be a very terrifying ride but the best one I have ever been on. I totally recommend but try to keep your head back because it does bang your head a little bit.
👍
A LITTLE I HAD A CONCISION FOR IT
This is one of my favorites at Dollywood.Ive rode all the coasters there.hope to go soon to ride Big BearMountain. Thanks for sharing Ryan
I hope you get a chance to ride Big Bear Mountain soon, its a really great roller coaster Wendy!
Ryan, really enjoyed your video! Thank you for taking me on the roller coaster with you!
Our pleasure Carla! We hope it helps people better know what mystery mine roller coaster at Dollywood is like!
Super fun ride. I cannot wait to go back to Dollywood
Ive been to Dollywood a few times but have always been scared to get on this. I havent watched any videos about it, so i didnt ever want to get on. Im going again tomorrow, so I decided to watch this to get a good feel of the ride. Now I really gotta ride it!
how was it
I'm glad to c that they put the sideways round curve track bk on the ride, that has always been 1 of my fav elements on the ride, glad to c the fire on the drop bk too, I love Mystery Mine, such a great ride, been trying to go bk to Dollywood soon.
👍
I don't think they put those elements back on the ride, it was old footage
@@alaskaida9542 O, that sucks
OMG Thanks for sharing!❤
Our pleasure Melissa! We hope it helps people better know what mystery mine roller coaster at Dollywood is like!
I love this ride. I went there two years ago for a summer vacation trip and I loved it
👍
Rode a few years ago. Absolutely loved it.
Mystery Mine roller coaster is loved by many who come to Dollywood hermanordoyne!
Did you actually ride it Ryan? 🤣 Love the Mystery Mine, one of my favorite rides since it first opened in 2007.
Hey Mandy! I didn't ride it, I took the footage from this video I made for the Dollywood blog video: th-cam.com/video/dBzd5pZkgEY/w-d-xo.html I put this ride video together hoping to help people planning a trip to the park determine if they can/want to ride it.
@@AdventureIsOutThere should probably get new footage though. Ride got changed
You should have posted a video like other smoky mountain vloggers of you getting on the ride and then cut it off and show stock footage of the ride so you can say you rode it.
When did you film this sorry, i thought they changed the outdoor section of the ride?
This looks like so much fun!!!
My (Patrick) Favorite ride there! Love the spookyness with the last shoot out.
I have always liked walking around all the bat pumpkins around the mystery mine roller coaster at dollywood during the fall festival!
Was there 2 weeks ago. Loved it.
👍
I have been on this ride once or tried to be. We had to be evacuated just before the ride started. Have not been back on it. My favorite is Wild Eagle.
Our Hannah LOVES Wild Eagle! She saw me working on this video and said she wants to give the mystery mine roller coaster a try Helga!
This was a good video, but you may wanna change some of the footage. Parts of the ride were rearranged and changed up. So then the video would be more accurate, but this was a good video of course😊 I loved the mystery mine! Today was my first time going. I recommend mystery mine, 10\10
I would love to, but unfortunately you are not able to film on rides at Dollywood. This is just what they released to media that is available.
I just got over the Blazing Fury without crying in fear. It'll take me years to go on this.
Love this ride so much! (Saying that after riding it for the first time in ten years) even after breaking my thumb on it the first time I ever rode it and recently being dragged back on to it I still like riding it
👍
Seeing this video, it brings back some memories back in the days when i was hardcore playing roller coaster tycoon 1 and 2. I made a similar kinda ride with the mine coaster, accept it had no inverters or loopings.
👍
I am too much of a chicken to go on roller coasters & there’s no turning back once it starts!
I enjoyed the ride while lounging on my recliner.
Love Dollywood ❤
Recliner coasting is not a bad way to ride them! 😁
Tip to overcome your fear, I went from hating roller coasters to riding millennium force which is 300 feet in a day, start with the smallest coaster and work your way up, you'll overcome it quickly
I been to Dollywood and rode this ride it was fun. Its scary as hell at first when I got on one but the more I rode the roller coasters, the more I'm used to them. I'd rather go on a roller coaster than a tall water slide where I had to prop my arms and legs together lol. I rode the orange water slide but it wasn't scary like the other water slide that's sliding you way down and you splash in the water. I went on a few water slides but one of I couldn't go on bc I was terrified haha. And I'm literally 18 🤣
I rode this the year it opened! Great times!
My favorite ride at the park.
👍
Mystery Mine is a must on every trip to Dollywood!
👍
I love this coaster
I’m from the UK & planning on visiting Dollywood in the fall. Is there a list of rides that go upside down as I’m not very good on those!
That's exciting! Dollywood is a great park and has something for all ages! The roller coasters that go upside down are Tennessee Tornado, Wild Eagle, and Mystery Mine!
@@smlnsgd4u thank you so much! I’m really excited to visit!
Awesome Becky! We hope you have a great trip here from the UK. We will be putting together a fall guide for Dollywood later this year covering the new festival & foods available. Here is their newest ride that does not go upside down: th-cam.com/video/nEyCA1zME9g/w-d-xo.html
Just rode this ride on 3/25/24. It was really fun; did not expect the vertical lift but the indoor portion was crazy. Not a fast ride but full of thrill. Definitely would go on again for sure. Only complaint was the cramped feeling of arms in the car.
👍
At first I was scared to get on it but I got on it anyways and it was fun but I didn't expect the last part
Oh My nope will not be riding😂🤣 I am too chicken 😂🤣 thanks for sharing🥰
Our pleasure T Thomas!
Are you going to cover Sevierville’s Bloomi’ BBQ festival. I am there now. Will be here tomorrow too. It’s very nice. First time!
Busy doing some housework today. Might try to go by tomorrow evening for a bit if we are up for it. Hope you have a great time!
Interesting that it was raining when you went on, clear skies riding it, and raining when you got off 🤔 We rode it many years ago.
I can't film on any dollywood rides (except the train). This was given to me from Dollywood. I combined my own footage from a rainy day that not many people were in the park.
This one looks neat.
👍
Ryan you rode this ride? 🫣 not sure I will ride it… 💖💖 it was fun watching it though 😝🥰 My moose loves the Eagle ride. But not me!!! 🤣🤣
Lol…no, I didn't ride it, I took the footage from this video I made for the dollywood blog a while back: th-cam.com/video/dBzd5pZkgEY/w-d-xo.html
With Brie recovering, I recorded a number of ride line queues the other day and have combined them with on ride footage that Dollywood provided me (you are not allowed to film on rides). With taking Brie to lots of physical therapy treatments and she is not able to go many places, I had always wanted to put ride videos together and set some of these up to help others planning a trip to the park determine if they can/want to ride it.
It’s nice to hear how you are taking good care of Brie. I’m praying her recovery is going well & quickly. 🙏💖🙏
I would definitely try it out
👍
I want to go on it now it looks so fun
👍
They need some updated ride footage, noticed this still had the old section
It's something I have advocated for. Unfortunately when content creators think "no filming on rides" doesn't apply to them, it makes all of us look bad and doesn't win over the PR team.
@AdventureIsOutThere I feel they are a little behind in the aspect that go pros exist for these kind of situations. And maybe they should look to content creators for footage because what they provide either looks cgi, super shaky, or is from a terrible angle, but good shot at me 😁
Did you ride that Ryan? I won't be riding it but do appreciate knowing what it is like. Looks pretty great for someone who likes roller coasters.
No, I just filmed the walking up to the rides and used the footage that Dollywood provided. I put it together for other planning a trip to Dollywood to better know what the Mystery Mine roller coaster is like.
I rode this ride!!! Mystery Mine is probably my favorite ride of all rides at Dollywood. To give a little information what it's like, the vertical drops feel very different compared to any other. Especially the first drop when the ride starts, it kinda felt like being quickly swung facing downwards. There were the vertical lift hills which have the feeling that you'll slip out, but I promise it's safe! That is only how it feels. The ride also tilts you a bit in the first half in the dark which may catch you off guard. The outside portion after the dark intro gets very bumpy, but the rest of the ride is smooth. And the finishing barrel rolls go by so fast, you don't even notice. I'd recommend it even if you don't plan to do it!
That final hill used to have a screen with lightning before you got to the simulated fire
👍
Kings island need something like this.
How did the weather change in 69.9 seconds
But these seems fun
That was so cool!!! I've always wanted to ride that. Now I really want to ride.
Hopefully you get a chance to try the Mystery Mine roller coaster next time you go to Dollywood SMD!
I think this is my favorite coaster
👍
Mystery mine is my favorite ride at Dahlia, but I went on my school field trip😊
Sorry, I meant Dollywood
Auto correct 😅
I was terrified to ride this when I was 13-14 but when I rode it for the first time in close to turning 15 it became my favorite roller coaster in Dollywood
👍
My shoulders hurt just TH-cam riding it. 😂😂😂😂
👍
I have been on this roller coaster it was fun
Course I’ve been on that ride before. It was very scary,
👍
It's my least favorite ride in the park for me, but it's still worth riding just because of the theming.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
This is my sons favorite we rode it today 5 times lol
👍
I would love to ride this
👍
I laugh every time I think about this crazy ride. Completely unpredictable and weird but awesome. Grew up in Ohio so I am a coaster snob. Really impressed with the rides at Dollywood. I like this place better than Disney.
👍
as a Floridian, disney sucks imo
Rode this as a kid in the 80s. So much fun, and I don't care for big rollercoasters.
👍
How did you ride this in the 80's, it opened in 2006 lol
My mom likes that ride
👍
I have been on this ride, and it scared me.
👍
This coaster has such an odd ball layout. For some reason a German built coaster has a Togo style Dive loop... Weird
👍
I was really sore the next day in my shoulders. It is not for the faint of heart like me. Lol
Ryan, I didn't hear you scream! Sooo I'm thinking you didn't actually ride it.
I don't ride the Tennessee Tornado.
I have rode the Mystery Mine several times! We were a season pass holder when it opened and we're one of the first to ride on sneak peek day!
I close my eyes when we go straight up & when upside down. I don't like upside down but it's a short time, so I'm okay with it. 😊 Thunderhead is my fav!
Lol…no, I didn't ride it, I took the footage from this video I made for the dollywood blog: th-cam.com/video/dBzd5pZkgEY/w-d-xo.html

Happy early birthday. Hope you have a great ride!
Cool coaster. So much better than that short lame Frozen coaster at Hong Kong Disneyland.
👍
I went today 2024 in spring and the ride was a little different. Ex: there was no fire and the first drop wasn't as soon.🤔

I don't want to ride the mystery mine at Dollywood because it is way too scary for me.
It looks a lot worse than it is. I loved it and it was my first upside down roller coaster!
I’ve never been on a roller coaster that went upside down so I’m kind of nervous but I think I’ll try it. I’ll consider it maybe it does look fun I guess but I just don’t like to go upside down. That’s my worst fear and I’m 25 and it’s probably ridiculous I have never been on a roller coaster that goes upside down like this one but at Universal Orlando I went on the mummy so I guess similar but then again I couldn’t see anything and I prefer not to see anything but this one is a maybe
👍
I hate roleercosters so much and this ride traumatized me bc I a scaredy cat
Bummer, you should try Big Bear Mountain someday, it's not as bad!

Love this ride ... but Ryan, you used footage of the ride before the retrack. So this is not the ride you would get on it today
Dollywood hasn't released new footage. As much as I would love to attach our 4k action camera, filming is not allowed. Since I made this video a while back, I have been meaning to get them up individually: th-cam.com/video/dBzd5pZkgEY/w-d-xo.html
