Then some further shots of perspectives are very hard to identify, it may be Braunschweig. But It was a city full of half-timbered houses, which are not to be seen in the movie. Later parts starting from 2:40 show probably Wiesbaden, and definitely starting from 4:10 show demolition around Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring, Wiesbaden. There was never a street with this name in Braunschweig. You can even see light mountains in the near background, which is impossible in Braunschweig, but typical landscape around Wiesbaden.
I'm so amazed when I see the ruins of these European cities. The castle like cathedrals, Medieval towers walls, castles, gatehouses, bridges, churches, government buildings that look like Baroque, Medieval, Renaissance works of art. The houses that are six stories high, with domer windows, gables, balconies, carved woodwork, and half timber houses that look like works of art more than structures. It makes you ponder why Germany went to war they were rich in comparison to other countries in culture and buildings.

Einen Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring (4:10) hat es in Braunschweig nie gegeben und gibt es bis heute nicht. Einstellung 5:20 dürfte ebenfalls nicht aus Braunschweig stammen, da derartige Hohenzüge, wie im Hintergrund links zu sehen, in der Nähe nicht existieren.
so bad, that they did not rebuild them...Braunschweig was an amazing city. Now it is a very ugly place. This is not the fault of the bombers but the fault of the socialist city governments.
@@JEANNEBOLEYN I agree. I think regarding the war only factories and industrialized cities contributing to the war effort should've been targeted, not ancient medieval cities, cathedrals, and market places. We'll never see historic buildings like this again.
