Relief and anxiety, polar opposites of nature yet both so intertwined with this project. I am proud of what I accomplished, but I am beyond terrified because I hyped this thing up to be my largest project despite it being the first time i've ever made a project on this scale as far as the size, progression, pacing, complexity and more. I really hope everyone who has been waiting enjoys this video.

This is by far the best Terraria video I have ever seen. and it's also probably the most impressive challenge run I've seen in any game. Well played.
I said 4 months ago that I was excited to see the final result, but this was better than I expected
That was incredible. Literally the sequence break of sequence breaks. You skipped Providence and Devourer of Gods to kill AEW. Then you returned to DoG to kill it with the weapon you slew AEW for. Insane.
I wasn’t as involved with this as others, but I do remember talking to you about this a while back and how utterly insane I thought it was that anyone would dare attempt AEW before DoG, but somehow you pulled it off anyways, and wow, to say the effort behind this video paid off would be an understatement, this was a completely amazing ride from start to finish; the editing, the music, the strategies, the sheer relief in your voice when the two worms finally fall, all of it was just perfect. What an excellent continuation of one of my favorite calamity series. Can’t wait for part 6! >:D

I've gotta say I love the music incorporation here, the fact that not only do you include it with your death, the music matches some of your movements, the scene changing, mirroring, literally everything goes with the music and it must take an unbelievable amount of time and effort which we all really appreciate
Honestly I take for granted nowdays how tied to music usage my visuals and storytelling are. I just really think music should tie the mood to the story at hand and I do my best to make it that way. I suppose it's why I made 20-30 different renditions of different parts using different music. It needed to stick.

Typically, I never watch Terraria videos. I always find myself bored of them when they're long.
However, this video is one I just can't put down. From beinginformative, funny, as well as including some amazing editing, I can't help but love it. I extend my hand out to you my good man, cause god dang thats some amazing Terraria content. Keep growing, and congrats on hitting 10K!
P.S. I couldn't help but love the editing that referenced the Asriel fight from Undertale, as an Undertale fan, it was certainly not something I expected, and I am incredibly interested in how long it took for that portion of the video.
it took about a week for those two scenes. I have a few pictures of the edit in the discord server. It's pretty funny given each line during the ghaster blaster is a textbox XD

Honestly, that amazing Asriel Dreemur AEW sequence alone is commendable, and I keep rewatching that section in awe, but the challenge of the run itself is also not to be understated, as well as that mother of all sequence breaks.

@@Hypanoz Editing it was by far the hardest and most stressful part of this video without a doubt. Recording it was insanely fun despite how hard it got at times. Imagine trying to explain complex AI manipulation while telling a story and maintaining interest and variation with 20 hours of the same exact boss over and over again. I managed but believe me editing this and coming up with ways to keep it refreshing for 20 minutes was not easy by any means.

Wow, such an incredible amount of research and trying different things... I remember how I tried to pull it off in 1.3 calamity (playing as a ranger I wanted to break the game by using halibut cannon) but then gave up. You are very dedicated, amazing job!

Coming back to this video a year later, and have a few times over the year regardless. There is, I guess a wonder, impressive, and sadistic nature to this challenge that makes it so fun to watch. It takes an ungodly length of time to make these videos, pushing through the struggle. So, thank you for persevering and making them. I was lucky enough to (SPOILER) see the defeat of Yharon on stream a while back, and hope to see it on a Part 6 eventually, but even if it does not come out, thank you for sharing your challenging adventure!
It will come out eventually. Thanks for the kind words. But somehow my ambition for creativity got even larger after part 5 and over the last year needed to figure out what I wanted to do with the footage because all honesty, doing those recordings so soon after either led to burnout and it was just really hard to get started on anything, especially when I was oblivious to the fact.
Oh gosh hammering the hoik to the background music while making the DoG arena gave me so much joy.
This is flat out so good. The editing is great and recreating Asriel's attacks with the AEW's attacks during the hopes and dreams section is just plain genius.
Also I like the idea that DOG was watching from a wormhole while you constantly died to AEW.

@@excalibur2038 Yeah I generally prefer the whole "Quality over quantity" idea but YT hates that. I do really want to create some lower quality vids here and there, case and point the bidoof only series because it's a fun stream series and it's a good way to broadcast that I do other stuff. That and I can't dedicate all of my effort to all these vids because I literally just don't have the time. Larger scale projects for now are pretty stuck to Terraria, but I have ideas to branch out larger scale and effort vids to Risk of Rain 2 and Celeste specifically. Got 2 of those in early development but i'm considering them low priority at the moment. Been considering unlisting my most recent video because it just doesn't rest well with me as it feels lacking in quality, but that might just be my conscious.

i've watched this video several times at this point but holy shit its still insanely impressive to know something like this is even possible honestly the amount of respect you deserve for trying this BUT GETTING THIS FAR? its genuinely insane the time that's been put into this is insane too but the creativity of strategies that this challange offered is honestly so interesting seeing all the different weapons and armors you use just for AEW alone is insane cant wait to see the rest of this challange
The rest of the challenge will be pretty mount-heavy given that my mobility becomes exponentially worse as the game continues. Been gathering the motivation to work on the project again recently. Aiming for late october but no promises.
