Let's be honest, Starbucks can get pretty expensive. $5 for a frappuccino is not always worth it, so here is a copycat recipe to make at home! I made this recipe about a dozen times and perfected it to make it taste exactly the same as the ones served at Starbucks :) Enjoy!

1 cup of milk
1/3 cup chocolate chips
3 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
blend for 20-30 seconds

I get that from Starbucks but not the chocolate chip one but it is the exact same i only changed the chocolate chips instead of that i didn’t add anything and it tastes amazing 10/10 recommended

It's my fav as well!! I feel like homemade always tastes slightly better anyways because you can customize the ingredients to your liking! :)
Great recipe I enjoyed following it! However I would recommend using more ice than the recipe calls for, slightly less milk, more chocolate syrup (about a tablespoon) and just an idea for decoration: put some chocolate syrup on the inside of the cup to make it look nicer!! 🍫🍦
Great ideas Velia! I typically order it with less ice that's why I didn't place as much ice in, but everyone has different preferences when it comes to that!

Tastes so good! Almost tastes like the real one! But one thing is that it is really thin and they are normally thicker so I don’t know how to change this but overall I recommend this thank you!
thanks Jayda! adding more ice will increase the thickness! I tend to go for light ice whenever I order frapps which is why this one is thinner
As a starbucks barista & chemistry major, this will be a lot better if you use an emulsifier. If you don’t, you run the risk of the frap turning out separated or having ice chunks. The one Starbucks uses is basically just xantham gum and water which you can probably find at Walmart or Kroger.
Little ice chunks are good. It makes it not so watery and thin.

I make this all the time, and sometimes I add whipped cream in the mixture to make it creamier.
This is much more tastier than the store bought ones.😋😋

Edit: ok so I ended up
Making my own chocolate chips by melting two mini Hershey’s bars and freezing then putting them in like a wrap and made it look like a frosting thing then cut a hole and made like circles or chocolate chip shapes and froze them overnight
Then I took them off the plate in the morning

1/3 choc chips
3tabelspoons chocolate or bar-one syrup
And 1cup vanilla ice cream
Umm. I tried this and it doesn’t taste anything alike to the real thing.. doesn’t look the same in the thumb nail or when you were putting the syrup on top.... I’m disappointed
