Mikel Merino reminds me so much of Edu Gaspar, similar build, very technical, a bit slow but are great in ball distribution, line breaking passes and the eye for a goal. Funnily enough Merino also reminds me of a mix between Xhaka and Busquets

Admittedly I hadn't seen anything of him before he was linked to Arsenal. From the highlights he looks to have really good aerial and passing ability. Much of his distribution reminds me of Odegaard with the little clipped balls over the top and through the lines. Would be a great addition to a somewhat incomplete midfield.
