  • It is our responsibility to share knowledge. For thousands of years indigenous people have been passing their unique knowledge and connections with the land to younger generations through a variety of mediums, such as storytelling, music, art and language. The sharing of knowledge is not always linear (or prompt) and requires a level of active listening in even the most organic conversations. Join a conversation with Connor Ryan (Proud Hunkpapa Lakota & Passionate Skier) and Tiokasin Ghosthorse (Founder, Host & Executive Producer of “First Voices Radio”) as they navigate indigenous knowledge, discuss how we all can best honor it, and ensure the transfer continues for generations to come.
    Speakers include:
    - Connor Ryan - Professional Skier
    - Tiokasin Ghosthorse - Founder, Host & Executive Producer of “First Voices Radio”
Created in partnership with the Garrison Institute.
This session was recorded during the September 2023 sessions, September 12-14, 2023.

I cannot tell you how deeply I love and revere this wisdom, Tiokasin and young Connor. I have such deep connection to Gaia, my mother. I could write you volumes on my experiences on the mountaintop, in the desert, in my garden (barefoot last winter standing on my mother after I broke my leg and she took my pain). As a therapist, I worked with highly dissociated clients who suffered severe childhood trauma. I learned that there is only ONE disease in mental health.... EVERYONE is dissociated. . . disconnected from Self, disconnected from Mother Gaia, disconnected from Divine Creator, disconnected from each others. I realize again and again how indigenous tribes are endowed with this deep knowing... connection.... relationship. Everything you speak has truth for me. You are truthing. You are connecting. . . You are being. Love and Blessings dear ones.

In my opinion indigenous people should lead us, to try to rieducate our sistem to some way of relation, "humanity", out of the horror that our culture has created.
Now we are facing a mess that science will never fix, never!
We need to reclaim our life, our heart, recognice it in everybody and everythings around...
Thank you for this beautiful conversation❤

The sad part about many of these talks is it is reiterated from a victim point of view. The fault 99.9 of time lies elsewhere. Yet, we all know how Mother Earth was inhabited.

    "Honoring Indigenous Knowledge"
How come Indians didn't put that knowledge into practice to benefit mankind?
