I listened to Demanufacture album through yesterday and it took me to a trip inside of a huge industry machine. that's how I felt it. These guys deserve some credit
great, and now i just noticed that it says "BIG DAY IN" instead of "BIG DAY OUT" i swear they do this on purpose, because this happens with every big day out event video i see.
Was in the crowd that morning with mates. We knew there was some mysterious "special guest" on after Tourettes, but I don't think anyone expected fucking Fear Factory!
Singing likt this after so many years won't go without consequences for the vocal chords. This style of singing is VERY demanding.. and I respect vocalists who have mastered this art.. because it's not easy. I hope he won't suffer too much when he grows old.
The vid is from 2004. His vocal chords were shredded a few years later. However, the aggression in the voice cannot be reproduced by the „healthy“ techniques propagated nowadays. Those „shouters“ basically „shout“ in speaking volume, amplifiers do the rest. Burton paid the price, but his vocals were real. Gotta respect him for that 👍
really nostalgic watching this again. I was so excited when FF reformed and played this gig. The archetype era was awesome, Burton sounded awesome in 2004/05
this song came out it like 94ish they were the first to mix styles of clean and hardcore vocals plus all the techno stuff not to mention that raymond herrera started using double bass drums for more than straghit 16th notes which was a big thing
Christian Olde Wolbers, he's amazing, He plays guitar, base, upright base, produces bands and does work for major hip hop artists.... Watch this space, Christian and Raymonds new band Arkaea will be out in 2009.
when in doubt, buy the album and listen to the first song. it sounds exactly like this song. only wore the cd twice, just bought it for the 3rd time last week. its that fucking good.
Awesome. I've always thought of Fear Factory as a Grind Core band with Industrial touches. This is the way I like em. Enjoyed all their shit but Demanufacture was spot on. Good to see Burton firin on all cylinders.
I was thinking the same thing...I went to see them at Roseland in 95 or 96 and Raymond's cymbal kept falling over during Demanufacture and he left the stage..show over!
well i read in an interview that Burton had no plans to continue fear factory cos it had been going for so long and he had acheived what he wanted to with fear factory
dino formed it in like 90 or soemthign but he didnt play with them after like 2002 i think cos he has so many side projects but all the originals reformed last year was so fuekn good to see them at BDO this year
That's Raymond Herrera. Dino wasn't in the band at that time. He returned in 2009, I think. Ray is the drummer they had for so many years. Dino left, Chris switched from bass to guitar, Byron Stroud was the new bassist, then Ray and Chris left and Dino came back plus Gene Hoglan on drums and now there is Matt DeVries on Bass and Mike Heller on drums.
The songs that they have lives performances of are Martyr, Scapegoat, Scumgrief, Demanufacture, Self Bias Resistor, Dog Day Sunrise, Shock, Edgecrusher, What Will Become, and Digimortal. It also has the music videos of Replica, Resurrection, Cars, and Linchpin. I'm not sure how easily available it is today, i got it back in 2002 at Best Buy. My best guess would be e-Bay. It's kinda interesting. Its the band talking about their history, up until Digimortal.
@fdlaxl well their first two albums were heavy. Vol 3 and all hope is gone are both heavy but they have some soft songs on them. Reason being is they wanted to expand and it was what they were feeling at the time. Its called being true to their music. Just like fear factory. On digimortal, transgression and archetype there are a couple slow less aggressive songs on there. It doesent mean theyre not metal anymore. It just means they wanted to do somehting different. Fear factorys still a metal
Dino is not in the video because he quit or something and join his band when FF temporarily split up in 2002. Dino is now working with his group Divine Heresy.
If you dont like it, dont watch it! I love Fear Factory and I love Meshuggah. And please, listen to both bands. They play different type of metal so you cant compare them!
@CaptainDirtFace I love both bands. I think slipknot is one of metals greatest bands. As a guitar player i can honestly say that yes slipknot has done what has not been done before...their music is very creative and original...On the other hand fear factory i think also is one of the greatest metal bands as well, they also have a sound of their own that they created and should be recognized for...both slipknot and fear factory are amazing bands. As for you not liking them, music is all about tast
LOL guys this song is called Demanufacture, NOT Zero Signal... djeezes I mean you would think that people from the media would know everything but there's proof they don't...
Dino was in the band when the band started then he left and now Christian switched to guitar and Bryon on the bass and currentally dino is in divine hersey
Burton's vocals were godly here......wish he still sounded this good live.
One of the most underrated bands of all time.
What?
Fear factory is my favorite metal band of all time
Hell no
I listened to Demanufacture album through yesterday and it took me to a trip inside of a huge industry machine. that's how I felt it. These guys deserve some credit
so we are just gonna ignore the fact that it said "Fear Factory Zero Signal"? okay.
I saw that too
SKULL0FD3ATH lololololol
great, and now i just noticed that it says "BIG DAY IN" instead of "BIG DAY OUT" i swear they do this on purpose, because this happens with every big day out event video i see.
@@SKULL0fD3ATH. it means it was a big day in 2004
@@revivedfears gotcha.

Simply awesome... and Herrera it's unbelievable. Nothing can stop him.
Burton rocks guys. Live when he's screaming, it's pure hell in the crowd. FF is one of the greatest bands I've ever listened to ever.
His lows are badass!
I've got no more goddamn regrets
I've got no more goddamn respect
Ahh, this is too awesome. I saw them play this one live in 2005. There's nothing like being there, but this video is still great.
This must be the best live perrformance of demanufacture ever!
2:23 - they messed up :) anyway - one of the best industrial metal bands.
I thought I was crazy and maybe hear it wrong lol. I’m glad someone else noticed to. But they made up for still pressing on 🤘🏾🤘🏾
Was raimond.😅
Man, I never really noticed the influence had on metal in the 90s... The part at 2:03 definitely inspired SYL.
Still love it 19 years later.
Kousaka China All hail the new flesh's bridge/outro always reminded me of that part.
dude who cares about the genres. i LOVE 'numetal' and industrial too. but i really love fear factory! love this song. ^_^
Like if you did remember those times in carmageddon
Pd: Great band
Man that was some amazing guitar tone.
Needs a better Gate tho

One of my fav bands since 1996

Awesome. I've always thought of Fear Factory as a Grind Core band with Industrial touches. This is the way I like em. Enjoyed all their shit but Demanufacture was spot on. Good to see Burton firin on all cylinders.
Killer song!!
They were good live around the time this came out.
very very cool, great band
I was thinking the same thing...I went to see them at Roseland in 95 or 96 and Raymond's cymbal kept falling over during Demanufacture and he left the stage..show over!

Man this is my kind of metal band, looking rugged and all that stuff, unlike today where the band members are to vain with their looks..
great perfomance.

It also has a live performance of 'Damaged' as well.
Awesome!!
well i read in an interview that Burton had no plans to continue fear factory cos it had been going for so long and he had acheived what he wanted to with fear factory
beautiful brutal riffs
pretty damn awesome drummer.
1:03 the obligatory shoe!
dino formed it in like 90 or soemthign but he didnt play with them after like 2002 i think cos he has so many side projects but all the originals reformed last year was so fuekn good to see them at BDO this year
"my gun will be your angel of mercy" BANG
this is just pure sick.
That's Raymond Herrera. Dino wasn't in the band at that time. He returned in 2009, I think.

I was there
Looks like a fun crowd to be in. 2:40 they really start bouncing. Good stuff.
well I don't know how small or big the change will be between these two guitars, but your definitely right on the amps differences.
yeeeeeeaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no live dvd unfortunately :(. They have a dvd called Digital Connectivity, that show has a some songs performed live though.
I've got no more gotdamn respect/i've got no more gotdamn regrets!!...
one hell of a screamer and a singer on top of that lol
His vocals resemble an alligators mating call, very clean.
@Armatige yeahhh, the new album is pretty amazing! :D
Dino is not in the video because he quit or something and join his band when FF temporarily split up in 2002. Dino is now working with his group Divine Heresy.
vocalist is fucking amazing
Agreed.
3:57 is inhuman epic!!!!!!
If you dont like it, dont watch it! I love Fear Factory and I love Meshuggah. And please, listen to both bands. They play different type of metal so you cant compare them!
i hope not cause they were such a new sound when they came out and will allways be a clasic for me
thats because the current guitarist was their bass player when dino was in the band
@CaptainDirtFace I love both bands. I think slipknot is one of metals greatest bands. Carmageddon ftw :D
awesome performance!!!!
but the video said "ZERO SIGNAL" although its Demanufacture!
Demanufacture is an epic album from start to finish. Is Transgression any good?
Christian went from bass to guitar and Byron from Strapping Young Lad is on bass. I hear differences in the guitar sounds, but I like both
Dino was in the band when the band started then he left and now Christian switched to guitar and Bryon on the bass and currentally dino is in divine hersey
Sorry for the double comment. Why does the caption at the bottom say "Zero Signal". That's a different song.
and 694 people got no more goddamn regrets!
Abused beyond..RECOGNITION!!!
Fuckin'awsome!!!!
Christian is having fun alright
stupid question, but when came dino to fear factory? :s
spewin that shoe was pretty good.
haha I lol'd hard at the shoe... this is a kickass song anyway, FF kicks ass... and sorry for bad english lol
no way man
the industrial sound of FF is what makes them who they are
i was actually bored by "Soul of a new machine"
