Yeam man ..BLESS UP!!. I plan to host a house party soon when i get back home....STRICTLY old skool hip hop.nuthing else . The Early 90's was the shit for hip hop!!!
damn dat beat!!! cant get enuf of da classics. legendary rap era! "thinkin bout takin my own life, i might as well, xcept they might not sell weed in Hell" !!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with you, chimaobi..it's sad how hh culture came down...Old school rap can only survive in our hearts..Nowadays hip hop is just a shape, nothing more..
No man, Hip-Hop is not dead. It never died. There are actually many real emcees, just keep looking. I'm from Seattle, and So far as I know, no commercial/mainstream rappers have corrupted the Hip-Hop there. We're still clean and healthy. I know there are people making real Hip-Hop elsewhere. Keep looking man.
In my opinion 92-95 maybe 96. This was the hardest era in hip hop. To me this was the peak of hip hop. I can name about everyone that came out during this time. Hip hop will never see this era again!!! No hard computer thug talk, jus the truth. I dont care about who agrees with me or not. It my opinion.
THE GOLDEN AGE of Hip Hop 1970-1996 Peace to all the people that grew up in this ERA like myself. We block partied, we house partied, we FUCKING JAMMED to some good ass music and we should be priveledged to have experienced what we did. Let us keep those memories alive and well and BANG THAT OLE SKOOL FOR LIFE BABY!!! PEACE!
I think I banged this CD in my cd player for like two years straight. Sticky was that dude. He remind me of this dude in DC named Big G. He is the head of this group called the Backyard Band and his voice is distinct like Sticky's.
Just goes to show what a tru banga is. Rap cats now are too afraid to go against what the corporate label heads tell them to rap about. ONYX FOREVER! Still one of my top 5 favs!
THIS SHITS GOT ME WILDIN OUT, I GOT GOOSEBUMPS WHEN THIS SHIT FIRST DROPPED, I STILL GET THE SAME FEELIN TODAY---------- The Heavy Hitters, 25 To Life Bidders Who Just Came Out, And Pull Their Flame Out, Take Aim, Blow Your Brains Out. GOT DAAMM!!!! this is that grimey shit true headz crave for!!!!!!!!
They were a wonderful group and I always went back and forth on who was the better MC, Fredro or Sticky but after listening to all of their music, Fredro was the most lyrical to me and Sticky had the best stage presence.
YO ATLien007....you spoke the truth in your comment...HIP HOP today is SO weak .... I am strictly old skool hip hop, when i in my ride and i beating tune like Grand Puba,or old skool common, nas people jump back and remember the GOOD OLE days of TRUE MUSIC , not this bubble gum nonsense that out....everyone rapping bout how much money they got, how much chains they got..blah blah its so freaking tired!!
The beat alone makes this song legendary already.
The text is unbelievable
