nope, water will come from the veggies and chicken.
How long do u cook it for
my old lunch box unit would take 1.5 to 2 hours to cook something like this. i find the video misleading. if you cook the vegetables with the chicken, the veggies turn to mush, but the chicken is cooked. I tend to let the chicken cook for and hour then place the veggies in later.
How many amps?
10-12 amps on mine
can u use it without the aluminum insert?
Of course! We recommend the aluminum insert for proper cooking temperatures and to prevent your food from burning. Using the aluminum inserts also helps with easy cleanup.
Why is my cord over heating?
I bought a surge protector to add extra protection from Amazon. Mine gets really hot too.
Probably wire gauge too thin. 12amp is stated on the box. 14 gauge wire would be a safe bet to prevent overheated wires.

I purchased this one and the on-off switch burned up in less than a month. Truckers beware.
