Can-Am not road legal? Here is the solution: 1961 VW Beach Buggy | the ultimate off-road vehicle

We take a break from our daily coverage of our insane 8,000km off-road trip and walk you through our 1961 buggy you named Bruce.
Great Central road, 1,100 sand dunes of the great Simpson Desert and 1,300km of pure hell and corrugations of the Anne Beadell Hwy (one of Australia's most remote tracks).
Our convoy consists of:
1961 VW beach buggy with Original 1964 Meyers Manx body (RWD 4 speed manual with a wooden steering wheel)
2021 Nissan Patrol Y62 Ti-l with a few mods;)
2022 TrackStar Quickie III trailer (also with a few mods;)
We swap every day driving the buggy and the Y62 and mostly live off the trailer..
