Extremely valid & really appreciable too - all of Kaushiki's points. Still I would like to listen all the times Kaushiki's classical musics, Rag pradhan songs, Najrul geetis, Rabindrasangeets, light musics but not very much like to listen metal, jazz, pop, rock etc from her.
She's completely right in saying that one cannot separate life from music. I totally relate to the pressures put on youngsters these days to survive in a world of intense competition. There is no "fursat" to simply live and enjoy life. There's no free time anymore. Where does anyone have the energy and time to invest in unconvering the beauty of classical music? I grew up turning towards rock/metal and pop. Because it was easily accessible. Someday, however, I wish to learn the artform of classical music in the traditional way. It's the hidden gem of India.
