Though I may be late to the comments I have a question as a new person who has played multiple instruments and is getting into the category of playing the piano now, from much time researching companies of Yamaha, Casio, and Donner pianos. I've always returned to the Donner DDP 80 and Yamaha YDP s34 digital piano, im not looking for too beginner piano but a piano I can continue to grow into with my skills along with wanting to stick with a more classical sound and a pleasing look. From seeing your piano reviews on many pianos, I wanted your opinion on these two together :] Thank you for the lovely review on so many pianos!

Just got mine in the mail after work and i gotta say I'm really impressed with how good the internal speakers sound, the fact of how its so quiet yet loud in all the right places. it litterally sounds like a grand piano is in my living room without using any midi, a dawe, internet software, or any auxiliary devices. It also doubles as a portable piano and one cool vintage furniture piece.

Amazing! I must admit that is one Retro looking Keyboard. It would fit right in the late 40's, through the 50's, and the legs scream 60's. It sounds pretty darn good too, though whatever Keyboard you give Jeremy he can make sound great. I do like the wood, they did a nice job. I'd prefer a darker stain like cherry, but this is nice to see. Nice review Jeremy! Take Care!

I have a nice upright acoustic piano in the living room, and my very old studio master keyboardneeds replacing. This has a very decent sound,. If not perfect (velocity does not modify the sound), it is more than enough for practicing without disturbing the neighbours, and usb allows it to play any nice piano (or other) VST in a DAW. The wide space without any knob allows you to place a small master keyboard or surface on the Donner for other functions than just playing. This seems a tempting set-up , at least to me. What do you think, Jeremy (or anyone else) ?

A very impressive instrument from Donner, and a nice review, but maybe a bit too uncritical. It would be helpful to see the aesthetics with cables to the foot pedals snd power cord attached. This is an instrument that cries out for Bluetooth midi, as you could place an iPad or phone on the music rest and play the universe of midi instruments off your device. Well, maybe in “next year’s model”. (I suppose you could attach a CME or Yamaha USB Bluetooth midi adapter if they can get power.)

Would you recommend this as the best option in terms of action for a price range of $1000 or below? Also, how does it compare in terms of action and "feel of a real piano" to the Kawaii ES920? I'm am looking for a piano that specifically "feels very real to an acoustic piano" but my budget is $1000 but I might have enough to get the kawaii ES 920 (possibly) which I've heard many good things about. Ideally thats the one I want since I've heard such good things about it but I rather not go over $1000 if I can because I'd have to borrow money and it would be difficult for me. I am just looking for the best piano thats action and feel is similar to a real acoustic piano I don't care much for the sound to be loud or too good. As long as it feels close to playing an acoustic piano. Please help me.

Hello sir, I was earlier using PSR-i425 and now I wanna upgrade to a digital piano with 88 scaled hammer action keys. My budget is around 40K Indian Rupees.
I was confused whether I should get the Casio CDP-S110 or YAMAHA P45. Pls suggest me which one to go for.
(Idk why but Casio sounds a little bit brighter to me compared to YAMAHA… and it’s just my personal preference that I like mellow sounds more…)

    • @Justin.Franks
      @Justin.Franks 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The Casio definitely is a fair bit brighter sounding. It's just a combination of which actual piano was sampled, and how those samples were recorded and processed. I definitely prefer the more mellow Yamaha P-45 between those two choices.

Great review, the Instrument looks wonderful, finally a nice looking instrument with a reasonable price. This proves that the many other makers are OVER PRICED.we know who they are. This is the evidence that the black plastic cheep looking instruments with great technology and sounds are vastly over priced ugly and wonderful sounding. Yes looking great and sounding wonderful needs to come together at affordable prices. Any good looking instrument builds pride in the ownership compared to just having another electronic item in the home.

It's pretty nice, for what it is for the price. Donner makes quality pianos, though their brand name doesn't have name recognition status.
It was nice to have hideaway controls, but makes it awkward to access them. It doesn't have escapement on the keyboard action, but as you said it's not expected at this price point. But unless you play, and prefer that, you would not miss it, and the majority of people that play piano don't even know what that is.

You never say where the keyboards you're selling are manufactured. Unless it's a korg made in japan.

Thanks for your videos. Very helpful. It is helping in the purchase of a portable digital piano. I currently own a Yamaha P-95. Great D piano but heavy and cumbersome. I use it at home to practice. I've been having a hard time finding a smaller version of this from any brand that I can use when rehearsing since I am the guitar player, lead singer and main songwriter. I just need the basic pianos and electric keyboards sounds and the ability to plug into an amp with 61 keys or less. That's it.
    Does anything like that exists?
    Thanks
[I've looked at the Casio CTS400, Yamaha Reface, YPT260 but they don't really fit the bill.]

It would be better if they provided option for transposition hidden at the back. Where is it made and is it available in the Philippines?
