The standard Max 360 has the same interior. The only difference is the wifi with the 360c and you have to pay $150 more for it. As my car does not have wifi, nor do I have a hotspot, the standard Max 360 works is the better bet for me,
I just received a MAX 360 from Escort for a second review, which I hope to post to Automoblog in the coming weeks. But yes, I am finding the same thing to be true. My personal vehicle does not have a hotspot, so the standard MAX 360 is probably enough for me.
Would pass on this one , you can drive thru a speed trap without even knowing if you have your stereo on, alerts you once, then it is up to you to watch the screen, where a cheaper device gets louder as you get closer

Not worth it have had one for 3 years. First year and half it worked amazing. After updates and all I noticed that it seems to get slower at catching radar guns and or doesn’t get them at all. This past June received a ticket via radar gun never was notified by my detector.
Range on the K40 you just showed sucks and if you mute a signals you mute all incoming signals for thirty seconds, K40 is made by Attowave who also makes detectors for Radenso and Attowave is owned by Uniden. Escort radar detectors have issues with responding to instant-on radar and certain radar guns according to Vortex Radar and until all the issues are resolved? I can't recommend them.

Hi Danny . . . That has been my experience as well - that both the Escort Live and Cobra iRadar app run in the background. I have an Android phone. I tried doing a "force stop" (Settings --> Apps) on them when I am not driving, but my phone gives a warning each time I do that and says it may hurt the app and it's ability to run effectively. For this review, I was connected to the Escort Live app the entire time. That can be hard on your phone battery, so I am glad Escort includes the "smart" USB power cord for the MAX 360 and 360c (and Redline too) so you can charge your phone at the same time. It makes running the app much easier. Near as I can tell, it doesn't seem to drain my battery when I am not driving, so it's more just annoying more than anything. There was, on one occasion, I restarted my phone and that seemed to work. If there is any menu in your phone where you can individually go in and close apps, you might try that. Like I said, I don't mind it so much but my wife did not care for it as she uses far more apps (like Waze) than I do on a daily basis. Let me know if you have any luck getting it to stop running on your phone.

I try escort max 360 in 2018 ,, Saudi Arabia ,,i stop using it , useless ( maybe 80% useless ). To many issues but the big problem is when give you late alerts or not give any ,

@@Inknov83d if it was laser a R7 or ANY detector for that matter is a ticket notifier. Thats where ALP or TMG takes over. Laser jammers are the only defense against lidar. When it comes to those systems as a stand alone you gotta pay to play.

So what sense does it make to spend hundreds of dollars on a radar detector if it has no capabilities to block police lidar or police radar, legally If I am traveling 80mph out there, it’ll be too easily catching someone like me because I have the range of detecting police out there but wouldn’t be able to block him from reading my speeds 🤷🏽♂️
No radar detectors do that.you have to buy antennas that go on the grill and these are well over 1000 bucks--that is without the radar.I had a car set up for a cannonball run years ago and am very familiar with these.I had a passport 9500ix just to notify me and a blinder unit that had 2 antennas--or blockers that had to be professionally mounted about 2 inches from my headlights to work effectively.I also had known a locl motorcycle cop and we tested it and it worked right up to about 250 feet--where the laser signal was just too strong--but it blocked lasers all the time and the look on officers faces as some looked and shook their guns.I also had a kill switch built under the dash to kill the system once I slowed down cause in some areas they can give a ticket--VA for example.
@@khronin I’ve driven through Virginia for years with a radar detector in my big rig because it was 100% undetectable to police which was the STI magnum designed for truckers. I wouldn’t recommend using jammers through Virginia no way long as the detector can keep me more alert of them around🤷🏽♂️ Today I use the Escort max 360 in my car only

A radar detector is only designed to alert of police detection out there correct A radar detector by itself regardless of its performance does not have the science within the unit to allow you to travel fast without being seen by police so easily because all it does is make noise,that’s it. That escort max that cost $650 cannot block police from Reading your speeds period. So if your speeding down hill the officer decided to use radar on you at the last minute, you’ll be an easy fish to catch. Even tho your radar detector is going off can you actually run up on a policeman when he’s using radar or laser while speeding, the answer is hell no. The officer would have your speeds instantly within a quarter mile away unless your traveling with others in front of you
thats why you speed with traffic. never speed when you're one of very few cars on the road. be smart about it. This allows you to easily skim along around 20 over the limit while getting a good warning when to slow down

@@LOLewie State police tried using instant on radar on me sitting on the highways But the scrambler won’t allow it it’s only because there’s a slight delay on they’re computer around 150ft away. So it allows more time to slow down safely without them seeing any speeds, something a regular radar detector won’t allow. A radar detector is only designed to alert of police, meaning it only makes noise. A scrambler is very powerful which allows you to walk directly up on the cops without them seeing anything. It’s not jamming them period but only confusing the computer 🤷🏽♂️😂

Would pass on this one , you can drive thru a speed trap without even knowing if you have your stereo on, alerts you once, then it is up to you to watch the screen, where a cheaper device gets louder as you get closer

That usually means the radar detector isn't getting sufficient power from the car battery. It could also be a bad power cord too.
The uniden R7 does circles around this detector.

Laser are very very rare
Just the 360c for 400$
I got the 360c MKii for $400 as well, idk though kinda regret it should have spend the extra money and got the Uniden R8

I have a better one than this crap for the general public and basic people.
