I started coding from scratch when I was 25 without any technical background. Without VS and C# I can not imagine to have made such quick and easy progress. Thanks guys! And yes VS 19 still has some flaws ofc, that's why there are updates ;) but it looks so nice and helps me so much, I would still use it as my code editor if it would not compile anything at all ^^
It is really good that Visual Studio was upgraded but there is a lot of things to improve and introduce. It would be really awesome to get Visual Studio for Linux so finally VS will be cross platform IDE. Linux, Windows and macOS for Visual Studio and develop amazing cross platform applications using C#, .NET Core and other open source technologies. I hope you guys will go this path because it seems to be the best choice :)
This is an extensibility question. How do I enumerate projects within the current solution in VS for Mac and also add new custom item types to a project? Let's say I've got a Xamarin Forms project. I want to add an image, be it a raster or an SVG, I want it to programmatically size and add whatever copies needed to my .IOS, .Mac, and .Android projects on the fly in the appropriate places, such as adding to Assets.xcassets. This would be a handy feature that would cut down on some front-end time in development so that you can focus more on the app logic and layout. I remember on Windows I would get into code like EnvDTE and the like creating a VISX. On the Mac it doesn't seem quite the same since VS for Mac is based on Xamarin Studio based on Monodevelop apparently.
Excellent video. Congratulations on the episode 300th . It's always good to see Amanda.

I'm first here to complain that VS2019 is much slower on parsing codes compared to 2017
I use 2015.. "You should try it's 3 times faster".. yes.. I try 2019, way slower incredible
vs code - all good
Banking management system project without database take the video
