This is awesome for people who can not conceive but can carry a baby. Wow, if you think about how far we have come. I wish they would have given pricing for something like this.
@@luisaw74656 I have searched it online and it turns out that an embryo is already a fertilized egg (already the sperm cell from an unknown man has been put into the egg from an unknown woman). And this egg was put into the uterus of the woman in the video to develop this egg into a baby. Kind of like microwave popcorn, in this case, a popcorn seed was just put into a microwave (the woman in the video) to fully pop it into a human 🙃
I think that the first one was also frozen, I think they said 24 years because she previously held the longest frozen born? So weirdly, they may be around the same age
I’m all for IVF-By preserving embryos, donating them, and having them inserted into a woman who DOES want to be a mother (but can’t reproduce on her own), this helps to ensure a MUCH better/revised birthday/better outcome: •A woman who decides “my womb is not too healthy and could miscarriage this embryo when it develops” can remove it and donate it before the embryo develops into aliveness and enters that danger zone… …And later, that preserved embryo can be inserted into a safer womb •A woman who decides she’s unable to/doesn’t want to be a mother can remove the embryo and donate it, so it can be preserved for later… …And inserted into a woman who DOES want to be a mother/is ready for it (but-in often cases of IVF-is unable to reproduce on her own)-Which will ensure that when the embryo develops aliveness and becomes a newborn, that newborn’s birth circumstance will be a MUCH happier story •A woman/girl who was raped can remove the embryo and donate it to be stored for later (and put into the womb of someone who DOES want a child/was NOT raped)… …This will avert someone having an origin story of “mommy was raped and I was born because of it” but rather a MUCH better origin, in the form of being borm from a woman who WANTED a child
@Anna-ot2zj It’s not abortion-It’s when it’s removed from womb while still a worthless embryo that isn’t even alive yet Hell, almost all abortions happen when pregnancy is at the embryonic stage and aliveness hasn’t even developed yet-So therefore, abortions aren’t “killing”
Destroy them?! You don’t destroy a living being. You kill it. The sheer selfishness involved in freezing embryos and leaving them is crazy. We have NO IDEA the consequences of this. I’m not hating on the people adopting them. That’s one of the most loving things you can do. But the selfish people going through IVF and the medical teams holding them there.
This just sounds creepy and weird but yet again parenting is not for everyone but ultimately it is up to the couple and what they want to do with their lives and whatever they choose to do I hope they enjoy their lives filled with joy and peace.😊🙏🏻
Yep and the sisters aren't related either most likely. Would be fun to find the bio parents. It shouldn't be hard in these cases since the people that froze the embryos were probably on the cutting edge of science at the time.
This is weird to say, but I am actually considering using my parents embryos to conceive, from 15 years ago, or 21 years ago. They have nine embryos left.
It's actually not so weird, the baby would not only be carried by you but have a genetic link to you further boosting the bond. Grandparents would also have an even more special bond w your child. Grandmas act as surrogates for their kids sometimes when their daughter or daughter in law can't carry a baby so there's others doing very similar things. If it makes you happy, do it!
They seem happy and it all kinda sounds great but I am unclear as to why they chose to go down this route? I've been left with a lot of questions. Were they having any fertility issues? What made them decide to adopt in the first place? Then what made them decide against a typical adoption and instead opt for an embryo adoption? Do they intend on ever having their own biological kids? It's all quite confusing.
Artoria Pendragon - That is clear. Thank you for pointing out the obvious. My question still remains why don’t they just have their own biological kids? The video never made clear why they chose to go down this route in the first place.
