Thanks! I’ve attempted that challenge on the Spire as well, but with 170 mm cranks and the flip chip in the low position I’m sure you know firsthand how that went!
Glad I’m not the only one who thinks those rock features on Thrillseeker are weird! Loooove that trail besides those! Great runs at a great trail on what looked like a great day; colors were popping! Good to hear the feedback on an oval chain ring, always wondered how people liked those, sounds like you’re a big fan! Good job no dabbin’ bloodstone, I’ve yet to put that in my binder of mountain biking accomplishments!
Tioga was even better than usual that day, fall colors nearing peak and hero dirt after some much needed rain! Thrillseeker is an amazing trail, could ride it over and over and often do thanks to the return trail and Tiogas pedal up bike park design. Huge fan of the oval, feels like it puts the power down more smoothly on the tech sections and climbs. Always wanted to check off that challenge and finally got it after making my trail bike more pedal and climb friendly! Conditions are amazing up north for this weekend, Giants Ridge is going to be incredible!
Tioga is an amazing trail system, great scenery and plenty of fun & well maintained trails, Pathfinder has built quite a few of them! I have tried those rock jumps but it just flows better skipping them, Thrillseeker is definitely my favorite trail there
Prime riding at Tioga with the peaking fall colors and recent hero dirt! Thanks for watching Bloodstone too, I enjoy technical riding/climbing but I realize it’s not as entertaining to watch as downhill flow, but wanted to include it at the end so riders can know exactly what they face on Bloodstone🩸🪨
We had an early fall on the Iron Range this year, peak colors in some spots a few weeks ago. Hope the colors down there change soon, fall riding is the best!
It’s a great place during riding season, but you need a winter hobby. I’ve rented a fat tire bike before but didn’t enjoy it enough to buy one, I have a lot more fun snowboarding and snowshoeing ❄️
Thanks Randy, Tioga has the flow! (and then there’s Bloodstone) Wet leaves can get slippery but they are on top of trail maintenance out at Tioga. Congrats on your induction to the Superior Athletic Hall of Fame! Excited to see you on the Megatower soon!
The oval makes a difference when climbing uphill tech or very chunky flat trails. It’s kind of hard to describe but it feels like you are putting power through the pedals more smoothly on chunky sections, I don’t notice it on flat smooth trails and sometimes forget I’m riding an oval then.
Nicely done on that Bloodstone run.

Thanks for the complements on Tioga! I always skip the rocks on thrillseeker also. And Pathfinder does build the best trails!

Damn. Another summer gone 😢. Maybe next year. I did get a long weekend at cyuna. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Gone too quickly, just part of living in Minnesota. Cuyuna is great, at least you got the long weekend there!
Gorgeous colors, sweet flow, and yeah watched and enjoyed the full pull on Bloodstone. Thanks for sharing Andrew!

You are making me want to move there! If it wasn't for the winter... do you snowbike?

Great riding! Those trails are so fast and flowy! I’ll bet those trails get quite slippery and sketchy when the leaves start falling?

@@AndrewGehn Thanks, Andrew! I can’t wait to get on the new bike.
Hey. Ive never used an oval. Do you find them most helpful on uphill? Is there much benefit on flats or downs ?
