    Hi Holly, I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you've put into this channel.
    It was my 5th time applying this year and I was getting to the point where I was considering giving up. This year, I had 1 confirmed interview (I got placed on the reserve list at no. 50). I then had 2 reserve interviews which both became interviews less than a week before. I got a no from the first one and then on Friday I found out I got a place at the last!
    I have watched so many of your videos over the last few years, and found hope particularly from you sharing your journey with having applied numerous times and your discussions around it being the system, not us. Thank you for still finding the time to make these videos on top of training!
    I watched this video the day before my last interview which I think helped get my head in gear and perform on the day 😊

    Hi Holly, I have watched a few of your videos and they are so helpful! Thank you so much for sharing these! I am an international applicant and I got my first job as a support worker 6 months ago. I am still trying very hard to get into NHS and I have got some interviews. Congrats on getting Dclinpsy! in the first video I watched you were still AP and I am happy for you that you have achieved so much:)

    Hi Holly, it’s lovely watching you for a while now. Although my comment is not related to DClinPsy, I want to take more of a CAAP route as it aligns closely with what I want to do and my interests are. I got my first interview after applying this year for CAAP in Scotland, I was very nervous and had high level of anxiety even though I spent almost the longest time I can think of prepping for it and knew very well what I wanted to say I couldn’t bring that across and got on the reserve list, I am grateful as it’s been quite the learning journey but equally quite stressed what this means- the course starts soon in Jan and have no idea where it could go. I have been applying for other roles and nothing seems to be working at the interview or sometimes even my applications. Your videos have kept me going a lot of the time.. esp prepping for CAAP I started with one of your videos on CBT. If you have any insight for me I would be very grateful to you. I don’t understand reserve lists as much, but I did see someone comment that they were on 50 in the reserve list. Should I still be hopeful? Thanks!! all the best & congratulations Dr Holly 😊 I am beyond happy for you x

      Hi - thanks so much for watching and commenting! Congratulations! A reserve list means you would have a place if more were available so that’s great (although can feel slightly bittersweet!).
      It’s hard - I was around number 12/13 on the reserve list and I got through, so absolutely who knows! I’m not familiar with the CAAP route tbh so not sure how different it is! Wishing you the absolute best of luck! X

      @ hi Holly, thanks so much for your reply. That does give me clarity, and actually I heard back yesterday that they’ve closed the list now. I wish it could’ve gone differently but trying not to take it too hard. Thanks again your comment really helps me. Take care!

      @@DrHollyPsychologist gutted I didn't get a place. :( I think the rejection after an interview is so much more disheartening. You feel like it will never happen.

    Hi Holly, any tips on how to formulate in a timed interview setting, what are the key things to talk about etc. - ive got an interview at Oxford :)

    • @DrHollyPsychologist
      @DrHollyPsychologist  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Congratulations! I would say to have a structure to how you’re going to answer the question so take some time to plan your answer :)

  • @qistnh

    Hi Holly! Which reflective models do you recommend for Dclinpsy interview especially view case studies? Also, how do you link in the case formulation? do you do it under analysis part?

    • @DrHollyPsychologist
      @DrHollyPsychologist  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Heyy thanks for your comment! I like the ‘what? So what? Now what?’ Structure to answers :) in terms of the formulation - it really depends on the question :) I’d try not to shoehorn too much structure in as I think it can take you away from answering the question. A loose structure of 2-3 points and an ending is nice and flexible :)
