I think a video I saw on YT yesterday summed it all up for me. The reporter asked one girl at a protest at NYU (she said she was actually from Columbia but came to NYU protest to support), what is the goal of this protest, what do you want from NYU? She started by saying she wanted NYU to stop doing something, but wasn't sure what that something was so she turned to the girl next to her (girl #2) and asked her, "Do you know what NYU is doing"? Girl #2 asks "About what?". Girl #1 says "About Israel?" Girl #2 looks away at the crowd and then turns back to girl #1 and says "I wish I was more educated" and girl #1 responds "I'm not either". Basically, mindless drone worker bees doing their thing. I think I just insulted bees.

Good point. If the youth of this generation want meaning. Instead of fighting battles that have already been fought and doing something inappropriate and harmful to children, how about picking up all the trash that have been littered or something

I’ll say this, it sounds like we grew up kind of similar. Im around the same age. I’m Latino but I grew up in more of a mixed environment. A blend of different cultures like a melting pot. I lean left but never had been that political. I know a lot of right leaning people as well as family who are so I feel I have a good balance of what’s going on and what both sides think. Nowadays everyone is being influenced by someone or something. Everyone has opinions and everyone has a bullhorn now. Both left and right are subjected to this immensely. What’s going on with the youth is nothing new. As it was for us, the older generation didn’t listen so we fought, as it was for the older generation when they were young and so on. I think your sentiment is right. But the issue they’re fighting about is so complicated that there is no easy solution to discuss. It’s just anger in the end. I don’t know what your group can bring to the situation that makes it any better. I do believe you mean well. I think RMB means well but I disagree with how he’s gone about things. Some of your group I think has the same intent, but many in your group I don’t believe have good intentions. I think they are the other side of the same coin. I think they’re toxic and I would urge people to stay away from their content. I get they’re your friends, you all have similar beliefs but if you want the youth to listen to you, you have to try and listen to them. And many in your crowd don’t. In some respect they despise them.

These campus activities are not perfect, but they are extremely important. We are paying the bill and providing the tools for evil.
From what I've heard from Rob, his takes are trash.

@@LatinoSlant Let me say RMB and I disagree instead of trash. I don't think there is any justification or usefulness in the destruction going on over there. From what I've heard from RMB, he seems to feel differently.
