Guys I've been out of the game for a bit. I'm thinking of getting back in and doing a batch of 2511t cylinders to send out. Who all would take one? Ideally I would like to take deposits for a percent of the total cost $220 shipped new ported cylinder is what I'm thinking. Lets say for starters I said I would do 6 cylinders. I would need deposits filled out first, then place my order for them, port, send out to customer after the balance is settled. The whole process wouldn't take that long pending how long it takes to get the list filled out. I don't necessarily have to do it this way but I'd rather not risk buying cylinders, porting them, then sitting on them for however many months it takes to sell off. Thoughts? Put your name in?
I’m interested. No offense, I am just a little weary of what guarantees we have on our end after making the deposit. Will it be a PayPal sale or something with purchase protection?
@@garrettsimonsen4045 understandable. PayPal is my preferred. I was thinking deposit would be cost of cylinder. People send me $1000 saws to port hoping I send it back. Which I do lol.

Alright buddy, here's the deal. I just finished watching several videos where people perform mods on the Echo 2511T, then I saw this one. YOU ARE THE KING! YOU ARE THE TOM BRADY of the online videos. You are a jedi knight with mechanics. This is above my paygrade. Oh "Great One", how much do you charge? I will send it to you in the mail, include dinner for 2 at your local Olive Garden, and wash and wax your truck! Just give me a number and an address!
I am not a mechanic, and I can follow youtube videos. I am not confident past the point of drilling a hole in the muffler and removing the limiter caps! You make it look easy. I couldn't put the saw back together. Seriously, you are doing an injustice by not applying for a job at Space X!

What is the point of trimming the limiter caps and reinserting them? Other youtubers pull the caps and throw them away completely (I nearly did this until I saw your video)
How much you charge for ported cylinder?

Would love to see what the cylinder looked like ported. Also, did you find the timing advance necessary? Ive heard the echos have a pretty aggressive timing stock.
.020 - .025 works best. I have found it helps.
@@yotaismygame Would be cool to see you port one. Get the numbers before and after and then compare the performance gains.

I broke one of the little black plastic coil isolators,it’s must only be there for lowering heat transfer into the coil coz the bolts would void any electrical isolation,went to order some more and you can not get them as they are discontinued now the saw is useless unless you’ve got some idea on what to use it it’s place cheers
hmmm what about a necklace bead filed down? Or take a pen apart and cut down the tube? If the center is too big fill it with Jb weld and drill a hole through it. Something like this I would think would work. Gotta be something laying around the house that would work. Stacked plastic washers?
Yep iv tried heaps of different nylon washers and other type plastic washers they all break and if coil comes loose it will damage flywheel surface,iv tried running it without any washers but it runs good for 10mins then starts not idling and stuff such a pain in the ass cheers for ya help
@@Sillyryan209 maybe look for a parts saw? Sawagain is a Echo dealer. Maybe he could get you the part? Seems odd its not available. I still think a plastic bead would work. Good luck!

There is a lot of advertisement and promotion of this saw as the lightest available, but the weight of the tanks-EMPTY power head WITHOUT bar or chain installed is always what is stated. If possible, I'd like to get a real world estimate of weight with, say, a 12 or 14" bar. Would you be kind enough to weigh the saw when it has its bar and chain installed and is full of fuel and oil? Thanks!

It's measured that way UNIVERSALLY, otherwise the powerhead would "suffer" on its power//weight if the OEM decided to give it larger fuel-tanks (IE echo makign larger reservoirs would be GOOD for you, but would make the powerhead now score *lower*.....some company could put a stupid-small tank and then claim highest power/lbs of a "loaded machine" with their 4oz fuel basin and 8" bar&chain ;) ) No, b&c and liquid reservoirs must be empty to compare units, heck if you included bar&chain then the question is, even for a given bar-size, "what bar?" because weights are all over the place, you can pay a lot for nice lightweight stuff, surely by now it's clear why a powerhead must be "naked & dry" to weigh it :)

Sure.
why don't you just mod the fly wheel instead of the key?
Much more difficult and expensive to replace if needed. Keys are cheap and easy. Makes no sense to touch the flywheel.
Also if you’re thinking the key is there to hold the flywheel in place that is incorrect. It’s only purpose is to put the flywheel in the correct location on the crank. Friction is what holds the flywheel in place.
