The mini-objectives to overcome a boss sounds like a lot of fun. I was just talking implementing something similar in RPGs from a video game I enjoyed (Sea of Stars) where enemies telegraph special moves by having a list of damage types that they need to hit by before their turn to prevent that attack from going through, or at least weakening the attack if you don't get them all before their turn. I think this is a really cool way to approach narrative combat and worry less about the numbers. Also, it allows each character to contribute in their own special ways.
Really appreciate all of the streams as both preview of where 2.0 is headed and walking through the design ethos behind it. I'm really excited to bring my own Lumen game into 2.0 at some point as I think these changes coincidentally push towards something that better reflects the inspirational material I was working with. Hearing it all talked through is tremendously helpful in getting me in the right head space.
