BB stands for "Beyond Birthday" which relates to his power to see peoples life spans. if i recall, he looked similar to L. I think he was also a victim of light. one of the people he kills randomly. also, L's percentage numbers mean nothing. If he suspects you, you can count on it being 99% everytime. He just doesnt say that because it would cause a harsh reaction with the others.
This show excels at turning the mundane into the dramatic, so it's no wonder that the show's most famous line is "I'll take a potato chip, and eat it!" It's not cheap soap opera drama either. It's a real gripping storytelling that's so dramatic that it becomes funny without sullying the audience's investment.

The dub on this episode is so good, especially the "I take a potato chip, and EAT IT" :'D it's so unhinged and overly dramatic, the va had some fun with that one
so, this episode reinforces the fact this is still a shonen anime. the potato chip scene is probably why some people prefer the english dub. The delivery of that line had such power behind it
And you'll see how easily and without hesitation Light is crossing lines to create this alibi. He's now killing a person suspected of embezzlement and a purse snatcher - neither of those crimes warrant a death penalty (whether in Kira's own eyes or the eyes of the police).
Naomi couldn't have faked it for two reasons: 1) That's her real name, which was just confirmed few seconds before you paused. 2) So far, no one knows that Kira can kill with methods other that heart attacks (like suicide). She doesn't know that he tried to kill her with suicide.
Even if she did know she was supposed to fake it, she walked away at the exact moment that the Death Note was to activate. There would be no way for her to know what time to walk away.
Also these cameras r not great quality since its an older anime, I feel like theres no way for L to see that its names Light's writing instead of his normal studying
It's probly Macha ice-cream, if you had it at a Chinese place more than 5 years ago, they might have called it green tea ice cream, or might have tried to call it pistachio, even though there are no nuts and it only kinda tastes like that.
Death Note has one of the most ICONIC dubs, especially in this episode lol. Both L and Light (along with another character you’ll meet soon) are so entertaining in the dub.
